We stayed at adjacent Logan hotel (do not recommend to stay there) and had a dinner and a branch here. Unlike the hotel, the restaurant was superb. The service was excellent - staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I love how they introduce each menu...item. The food tasted very good: we had pork chops, selection of meats, salads at dinner and eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs and meats, waffles at brunch. Although the prices initially appear slightly higher; food portions are also larger, so it works out fine. Decor is very welcoming and warm. If we return to Philadelphia, we will stop by again.More

Booked on OpenTable in advance for an early dinner 6pm on a Saturday night and seated promptly. Glad we managed to even get a reservation as we could see tables filling up quickly. Tried to use the QR reader for the menu and our server...(sorry didn’t catch her name) kindly brought us a single use menu. Starters were braised octopus and hubby had the charcuterie board. Both were excellent and quickly served. Water was replenished often, and all meals were perfectly presented. It was fun people-watching from the table as the view was overlooking a quiet Parkway, with many people out for a walk. Quite a few stopped for reservations to be told they were booked up so I would recommend advanced booking. For the mains, we shared the NY steak tasting consisting of 6 oz each: Joyce farms grass-fed, 44 farms prime, and 1855 beef 21-Day Dry Aged and added the 6oz of 7x wagyu. Along with grilled asparagus and roasted local mushrooms – there was no need for potatoes for us. My favorite steak was the Joyce farms grass-fed and hubby’s, the 1855 beef 21-Day Dry Aged. We passed on dessert and left very happy. There were 2 ladies who served us, who were outstanding. We understood the Covid restrictions time limit of 2 hours and wearing a mask, especially entering for the rest room, which I did. We noticed one customer who tried to enter the building without a mask and displayed some annoyance at being asked to wear one. The staff dealt with the situation quickly and very diplomatically. It was comforting to know that they were firm for the sake of their own staff’s health and other customers. They really should not have to deal with those situations on top of everything else they are going through right now. This is one of the best meals we've had! From the start, the corn bread was especially moist and delicious. The mixed greens salad was super and came with an outstanding dressing, several of the veggies thinly-sliced like potato chips. The Mac and cheese was...also one of the best we have tried- great cheese sauce and Panko trimming. The ribeye streak was perfectly cooked, tender, and nicely seasoned- its 14 oz size made it possible for us to split it, and the kitchen kindly sliced it, so we could divide an equal number of slices. Our waiter, Byron, was super, and even brought us champagne when he overheard we were celebrating our anniversary. Urban Farmer will be a regular for us.More
