Much larger than a typical Greek restaurant, but it is broken up into discrete areas. Menu items mostly have a little extra twist, which together with excellent service goes some way to justifying the high prices

My husband and I recently had dinner at Estia while visiting Philadelphia on a weekend away. We really enjoyed our meal. We shared several dishes: the Estia chips, the grilled shrimp appetizer, the dip trio, and the horiatiki salad. This was plenty of food for the two of us, as we had eaten a larger lunch earlier in the day.... More

Ate here prior to a show at Verizon Hall /Kiimmel Center. They do a theatre special - 3 courses for $33. each and for Greek food it was good - Service here is outstanding - fast and efficient. Only issues were it was CROWDED and NOISY but welcome to the city I guess

Estia is my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. My husband and I frequently eat at the bar, ordering small plates to share. Additionally, we always take our out of town friends and family there. The atmospher is very enticing and the food excellent, the service is flawless.

I made reservation for my wedding anniversary. My husband and I ordered fresh koutsomoura fish fried, sardines in grill with lemon and fresh parsley, tzatziki, tirokafteri, fresh cut fried fries, horta salad, fried calamari. We drunk Retsina wine and we mixed it with coca-cola as we usually do in Greek. The atmosphere was absolutely FANTASTIC with a live instrument music... More

Estia has been a favorite lunch and dinner place for me and my friends for several years. This visit I had the $19 two-course lunch. The price is clearly indicated at the top of page but be warned there are upcharges which may be easily overlooked by diners. I had the delicious horiatiki salad (red, ripe tomatoes, green peppers, onions,... More

Mediterranean food at its finest. I attended a cocktail party in their downstairs area which is lovely. Great variety of hummus, delicious pita, and zucchini crisps are addictive. Butlered horsdeuvres were: baby lamb chops, yum, mini crab cakes, more yum, skewered Chilean sea bass, more yummy, grape leaves (my hubby loved them), buffet had shrimp and chicken kebabs that were... This restaurant is known for its very fresh and diverse offerings of seafood and also for authentic Greek dishes. Everyone at our table rated their dinners 4/5. We sat in a private cove that was really lovely. Our servers were very attentive. Very interesting decor, especially downstairs so it is worth a trip to the restroom just to look around.

Went with two other couples. Got there early and had a drink at the bar. Greek white wine for me, a dionysus cocktail for my wife. Split three apps - spreads (tzatziki, eggplant and red pepper) with pita, grilled calamari stuffed with spinach and cheese, and fried eggplant and zucchini chips. All were great. Bread and hummus was good too.... More

Decent food. We enjoyed the fish selections. Langostines and lobster with a side of Mediterranean roasted potatoes. Flavors were authentic, and the appetizer (a plate of three spreads including roasted red pepper), was delicious. Beer selection is a little lacking.
