We were sightseeing in downtown Philadelphia and our tour guide recommended this place. After the tour we decided to stroll downtown and try it. We were not disappointed it was a really good steak sandwich. We loved it!

Jim's was recommended to us by the hotel staff. It was a good choice. The meat was tender, the rolls were so soft. We had the steak sub with everything except the cheese. It was a very good sub.

Great sandwich, fills you to the gills! I like how they chop the steak really fine so that it’s easy to devour! Locals say get it with “whiz” so we did and we’re not disappointed! I think any cheese would work on this gem! I...More

My wife and I stopped by last week, by a local recommendation. This is exactly what I thought it should & did taste like. Not one of the big names but who cares. It's just good!

I was told Jim’s was the only place to go for a real Philly cheesesteak and it definitely was! And don’t bother with the provolone or American, do yourself a favor and just get Whiz!! Nothing else compares...

The Barnes is on the parkway about a 2.5 mile walk to us. I would grab a cab or Uber/Lyft.

We are a couple miles away on South St. toward the Delaware River. A thirty minute walk or a 8 minute cab ride.
