We read the previous TripAdvisor reviews and decided to walk to the Famous 4th Street Deli; it was about a 15-minute walk from the historic district. We read that you needed to get there early, but that the lines moved fairly quickly. We got there...More

This is the perfect place for lunch or for a mid afternoon snack. The prices are a little high but the food is excellent.

As a transplanted NYer living in North Carolina, we just don't get food like this anymore. So when my husband, five year old, and I met up with my brother and sister-in-law for a day in Philly, this seemed like a no-brainer. My sister-in-law's mother...More

If i were you, i would drop by to ask to see the portion(s) of the food(platter) then decide. Platters are various in sizes (mostly the same everytime) but depends on what you order.

I definitely think you can order for a few less. My sister-in-law and I split a pick-four-meats plate and we had tons left over, although we did eat a ton of appetizers and soup. Maybe order for 8-10.
