When we walked in, we was skeptical as it really only looked like a bar. We were wrong though. I got the Texas benedict and it was a amazing. Fresh biscuit, fried chicken breast, bacon, poached egg, and some buttery gravy concoction. It was delicious! They also had a special on Mimosa's ( I believe $5 I assume that's cheap?)... More

People may scoff at the notion of a vegetarian cheesesteak in the City of Brotherly love but their seitan cheesesteak is awesome. Comes with fries and a nice aioli sauce. Full bar with a selection of local craft brews on tap. Bartenders are cool. Laid back casual environment. They also have regular cheesesteaks as well for the carnivores out there.

Service was way above par. Felt like going to a friend's home for drinks / food. Food was delivered within minutes after ordering. HOT and very good! Drinks were great! Definitely recommend the cucumber margaritas! ;) Will definitely return!

Love, love, love this place. Hubby and I go down to the city as much as we can and usually end up at The Abbey. Food is excellent! The service is good. Love the nachos, wings, burgers and pommes frites. I really think they have the best nachos in the world! :-) Hubby loves the beer selection. Will be there... More

My husband and I stopped for dinner last night. What a grand slam, 4 stars with fireworks !! Dinner was amazing. We both chose from the specials and had the osso buca and the scallops with lentils and broccoli and mushroom. We would both classify it as one of the best (if not the best) meals we have had all... On a recent trip back home to Philly The Abbaye was our first dinner. They have great salads and burgers and selection of beers. Our food took an hour to be served because if a glitch in the ordering system, so the waiter comped all of our (many) beers. The place really filled in while we were there and has... More

Went for the first time for dinner and loved it. Vegan wings were the best I ever had. No dipping sauce needed! Other vegan and vegetarian options available as well with some creative carnivore options as well.

Been here several times for dinner. Excellent draft beer selection usually includes some Belgians. This is a nice, cozy neighborhood bar with above-average beer and food. I would NOT call this a dive at all. Younger and older customers. Art on the walls is always changing (local art?). Service is always good. Food includes pub-standards (burgers, wings, etc), salads, sandwiches, vegetarian/vegan, entrees... More

What to say about The Abbaye? We have dinner here three or four times a month. It's the neighborhood dive that's not in our neighborhood. The waitstaff knows us and takes care of us, so we have no problems with service. Beer selection is always well-edited and thoughtful; even the misses are interesting. The food is good. There are plenty... More
