Always eat at the bar. Both service and food are amazing! Great selection of wines by the glass (as well as wonderful cocktails). The dish I wanted was no longer on the menu, but they offered to make it for me. I deferred to the great 10 oz tenderloin with roasted wild mushrooms. It is a bit pricey with so... More

Perfect time to go during restaurant week, why you say you can sample a 3 or 4 course menu for dinner for $35 pp. Started with green salad, my husband had the bowl of lobster soup which arrived hot as requested. I had the 12oz steak on the bone, my husband the Salmon shared family style asparagus and au gratin... More

The prices are high but the food is very good and so was the service! The restaurant was very clean and it was a pleasure to have such a nice waitress. Try the crab appetizer- fresh and big chunks of crab. Steaks were very good too! We will be back!

I visited twice recently. The first time it was a quiet night but we were celebrating our anniversary. The waiter was wonderful and the food was excellent. The second time was a crowded evening during Restaurant Week yet our waiter took his time and once again gave us excellent service!

Classic Steak House which I usually poo poo but I have to admit the food was pretty extraordinary. I usually don't go for the snobbery that can sometimes get projected at places like this but, again, I was pretty happy with it all, lol. Expensive, but we all know that going in. But, damn, it was Yummy. Total bill for... More

Had a 4pm dinner with appetizers and drinks. Service was friendly and attentive and suggestive when asked about the menu. The drinks were unique and delicious. Appetizers were fresh and fantastic (oysters, shrimp, bruschetta, tuna tar tar). We ordered the T-bone steak with lump crabmeat, asparagus and hollandaise sauce. They were done to perfection and priced comparably with the menu.... More

We had dinner to celebrate our anniversary at the Capital Grille in Phila. They did acknowledge the event, with a rose and some small hearts, and a desert, as they usually do. We ordered a shrimp cocktail to share and the shrimp was excellent but we didn't get any small forks with it and it's hard to eat shrimp with a... More

My wife and I occasionally go a little upscale for fun and to experience unique menu selections and food preparations. Capital Grille is one of those places that fits the bill on both fronts. The house wine, the salad, the main course (catch of the day) and the coffee were absolutely perfect. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was... More

The Avenue of the Arts is the perfect avenue to dry aged steaks, too. Philadelphia Magazine declared The Capital Grille “a carnivore’s dream.” Top off your fabulous meal with dreamy Chocolate Espresso Cake or Crème Brulée. Then stroll it off on your way to Kimmel Center or the theatre.
