Great restaurant and service. The wine list is also good. I found the place a bit noisy, but it was ok.

My wife and I were visiting Philadelphia and had reservations at a different restaurant, but my brother-in-law insisted we go to Vernick instead. We couldn't get a reservation on Open Table, so he walked there and got us a reservation in person. That's how crazy he is about the place, and now that we've eaten there, we know why. We... More

Sorry yes I took a bite! Steamed white halibut with Parisian gnocchi (they were fried), chanterelles, squash purée, lemon garlic broth. Have to recreate this at home! The warm Parmesan custard with caramelized baby artichokes was eye closing good. I licked the bowl when no one was looking. Also the short ribs, pear and kimchi vinaigrette was outstanding. Going back... More

Highly recommend this restaurant. Great ambiance, great food. The porterhouse for two was to die for.

The food was good but I left wanting to go get a quarter pounder. The portions were minuscule...at best. Desert seriously had 1 teaspoon of ice-cream. If you are Kate or Ashley Olsen... or possibly have some delusional idea of normal portions... this might be your place. Good grief. Four bites of brisket for $39 is unacceptable. Delicious but you will... More

It's almost embarrassing because we get the same dish every time we come here but it's that good. Outstanding whole fish and every other dish we have tried here is fabulous. The waiters and bartenders are fantastic as well.

We had a fantastic evening at Vernick. Loved the atmosphere, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was amazing. We especially liked the red snapper in coconut sauce (special of the day), the mushroom salad, and the potato with smoked butter.

Vernick accepts reservations made on Open Table sixty days out. We suggest you get out your calendar and select a date now! We enjoyed an excellent meal in the downstairs dining area near the open kitchen. We could not resist the Maryland crab toast to begin our meal. It was extremely fresh. I sampled the small plate butternut squash pasta... More

I didn't think I would have the opportunity to dine here a second time, but I traveled to Philly for a football game and we got come back! I love this place, everything about it is appealing to me. I love the environment, the food, the service, just everything. The variety of the menu is wonderful and the food preparation... More
