We are afternoon tea lovers and we really enjoyed our time here. There is a harpist who was excellent. The tea is very unusual and very tasty. My friend enjoys the special flower tea that "blooms" in the pot before your eyes (it is extra...More

I was very impressed with the service, the tea, the food, and the atmosphere. The harpist was a nice touch as well. It was comparable to the memorable High Tea I had in London's Mayfair district, and I love that it's right in Rittenhouse Square!...More

Wonderful service and staff. Someone was playing the harp in the background. They somehow found out we were also staying at the hotel to celebrate our anniversary and surprised us with a small cake with "Happy Anniversary' written in chocolate. Who doesn't love that?

Several friends and I spent a lovely afternoon having tea at the Rittenhouse's Mary Cassatt tea room. The selection of teas was amazing... They even have a coffee lovers tea that looks and tastes like coffee. Everything was perfect.

Quite a bit of food appears with tea. It's well described on their web site but includes scones, mini sandwiches, and cookies

Do I need to make a reservation or are walk-ins welcome?

If it's a weekend, I would say it's best to make a reservation. The tearoom was full on the Sunday when I was there. My guess is that weekdays are less full.

Price for tea with bubbly included. Also, when harpist is there. Would like to go on a Saturday. Party of 4.
