This home cooking spot has delicious food, excellent service, and warm atmosphere. I'll start with the coffee on a chilly morning, thank you - and it never got near empty. The eggs were cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. I need to shout out for the thick cut, perfectly rendered bacon. The biscuits were like my grandmother used to make (I... More

We found the Stove several years ago and have never looked anywhere else. They are open for breakfast and lunch. They have huge portions and are very reasonably priced. Their omelets are 4 eggs. The wait staff there are always friendly and willing to change things to how you want them. Great little find that we have never let go... More

We were on a Eastern Sierra road trip from the Bay Area and spent a couple nights in Mammoth. We almost got fooled by another higher rated breakfast spot that was our first stop. We walked into that spot, looked at the menu, and walked out. We found The Stove and had a great breakfast. The place was packed and... More

A Mammoth MUST DO but be prepared to wait. It is a small restaurant but worth every minute you wait. I have never had a disappointing meal at The Stove and we usually drive 45 minutes from Bishop to get at least one meal in here. The service is friendly and staff does a great job of juggling with the... More

We loved this place! Wendy was an outstanding server who made it a 10+! She seemed to know what we needed before we had to ask, got our food out in less than 10 minutes, didn't even flinch at my complicated order and even gave us to go cups for our drinks when we left. Place was buy when we... More

People love this place because they've been coming there since their parents brought them as kids. Its a good but not exception spot for breakfast. The main downside is that it can be crowded but that's because no trip to Mammoth is complete without a meal here. The fru-fru restaurants come and go in Mammoth but breakfast at The Stove... More

Went here for breakfast with my family. Started off with a long wait, went and asked how long it would be and it turned out they had called our name about 20 minutes earlier and we had apparently missed it. Well we had been sat in there for over half an hour surely you would realise? Anyway we went and... More

We ate here for breakfast and again for lunch while vacationing at Snowcreek, and the food was very good both times. Home-made blueberry muffin was so yummy, as was the breakfast hash. At lunch the meatloaf, tacos, patty melt and pie were a hit with the whole family. Highly recommended.

Classic breakfast, very busy, friendly staff. This isn't a fancy place, but seems like it have been here forever. I have only had breakfast here, usually French toast. Hard to go wrong with that, but it is very good here :D
