Worst meal ever. We ate in the steak grill restaurant after a 20 min wait to be seated. I had a feeling it might be rubbish as the waitress seemed confused by the concept of finding us a table in a near empty restaurant. My strategy for ordering was to order something cheap & difficult to mess up. We ordered... More

Death Valley dining is expensive, so you just have to accept that. Entrees range from $30 to $40 for the most part. I learned the hard way that the food is similarly priced at the more elegant Inn at Furnace Creek Dining Room down the road. The 1/2 chicken dinner was good and my companion enjoyed his steak. We also... More

The first thing to mention is this is a great place to cool down from the intense heat outside! Great atmosphere and even better is the service from the staff. Good choice of food and drinks make for a 'must visit' here! Recommended!

Our tour group enjoyed a welcoming dinner the first night. The roast chicken was excellent and the salad bar was generous. The breakfast buffet was acceptable despite cold potatoes. One traveling companion tried the ribeye steak the next evening and give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. Would have loved to tackle that $36 steak but didn't have the appetite. Can't... More

The Wrangler Breakfast Buffet was the absolute worst, most disgusting, unappetizing breakfast I have ever eaten in my life. The options are pretty much what you would get as a free breakfast in most hotels, but here you have to pay almost $12 a person to eat the slop they want to feed you. The eggs (if they can even... I've read the reviews about the average food and high prices. We just stayed at The Ranch this past weekend with our two kids. We ate at the Wrangler for dinner. They had a special, the "Tomohawk" ribeye. It was a gigantic bone-in piece of meaty goodness that was aged, seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Served with some really yummy mashed... More

It was probably our own fault that we didn't read the posting well enough, but when a restaurant bills itself as 'buffet' we assume it had it for every meal. Not so. At dinner this place is more expensive than the dining room at the Furnace Creek Inn just up the road. I still can't figure that one out. Why... More

Wow. Furnace Creek is changing and FROM what we had for dinner its heading in a GREAT direction. House smoked 2 pound Tomahawk ribeye. Served with Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes and Broccolini. A Wonderful Au jus made from the smoked loin drippings and creamed Horseradish. Also included the Soup and Salad Bar. $55.00 What a deal! Its a meal that... More

a very basic steakhouse, and fairly expensive. our third time there, we had a great waiter, and two of us had wonderful filet mignons; the potatoes however were really bad: gluey, sticky, and over salted. the other two had inedible Tbone steaks with potatoes to match. when we drew the waiter's attention to the "quality" of the Tbones, he immediately... We tried to go to eat at Furnace Creek Inn, but it was under renovation last summer. Luckily this place is very near. It is a nice ranch with restaurants, hotelroom etc. in the middle of Death Valley. If you want to stay overnight there, it is a fine place for that. We just eat lunch, which is good. Hamburgers...
