The Carillon Brewing Co is not only a place to get a brew, it's loaded with charm, including knowledgeable wait staff in traditional clothes harking back to when the original brewery was located on the property. The menu has a variety of foods the early...More

You probably know that the Carillon Brewing Company is a historically accurate replication of a brewery from the mid 19th century. It is a wood fired, gravity fed brewing system brewing beers with recipes that are 150+ years old. But did you know you can...More

Our family had lunch at Carillon Brewing Company and had difficulty conversing because of the conversational clamor in the room. Nevertheless, the food was quite tasty and the service was excellent. Also, the decor was interestingly historical.

This was our second time there. We were expecting to eat in Bier Garden, but were told there wasn't any wait service, would have to order at bar and carry our plates to Bier Garden. We waited many minutes after seated for waitress to stop...More

A highly recommended working brewery and restaurant in a museum setting. Both beer and food are what would typically be served in an 1850s Dayton alehouse. The ales are darker and more complex than post-Prohibition lagers, while the food is equally hearty. Both are excellent....More

We thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch there today. It was the most satisfying restaurant meal we have had during our 6 week long road trip. We both ordered the brat platters, with different sides. I had the German potato salad and the baked beans. I...More

If you like history and learning how things are made, you'll love the brew house! They have a working brewery in the restaurant and exhibit how it was made in the "olden days." The food is also made in similar fashion and it's German food...More

Their breads, buns, rolls and pretzels are not gluten free, but they have several vegetable sides and meat dinners - the roasted chicken is delicious.

Description
Carillon Historical Park welcomes you to the nation's first production brewery housed in a museum. Carillon Brewing Co is a place where the 1850s in Dayton comes alive. Historical recipes, ingredients, and techniques are used right before you to reproduce the ales that Daytonians once enjoyed. Each drink is a story about how beer has changed over time. Our hearty fare continues this dedication to history by sharing dishes by the early immigrant brewers. (Food served 11:00am-9:00pm daily.)
