Order cheese plate for two and you will not be disappointed! Quirky design adds to atmosphere. Informal and friendly service. Seemed like they had an excellent wine selection, though I'm nothing close to a wine aficionado.

Thanks for the kind words! Love the "quirky design". I designed the shop and that is exactly where I was going. I like my wines, like I like my design, little quirky and kinda memorable. We look forward to seeing you again soon. ~Donna More

My wife and I had lunch at the Blue Goose during a daytrip to St. Marys. The décor is nothing special, however, the blueberry coleslaw is really special. The chef throws in a little cinnamon and hummin to spice it up. The sandwich wraps are amply filled with what you ordered. The wine list accommodates all tastes and colors. Service... More

The Blue goose is a good, solid place to have lunch. You know the food will be good. We used to like to browse the shop that was part of the restaurant, but now that they've changed to a hostel they no longer have the interesting wares for sale.

My daughter and I stayed just one night before going to cumberland island to hike. The beds are basic but comfortable, the place was really clean. I would definitely stay there again.

Don't be fooled by the ranking here on tripadvisor! Take your special someone to this place! It's quaint and well done inside! The entire menu is great. Doesn't matter what you order it will impress you! Bagel sandwich and mimosas were killer!

What a neat concept! Rolled into one establishment is a cafe, a hostel and a coffee and wine bar! I didn't stay here or have the chance to try breakfast or lunch, but the menu looked delicious. I stopped in for a glass of wine one evening. They have a nice selection of very good wines, and mine was excellent.... More

We went here for a wine tasting a few months back, really enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff was attentive and the wine was pretty good. I love the "small town" feel of the place, local items for sale and just a good atmosphere.

Great after-ferry stopover for light food, craft beer and wine. Eat in or outside in the sea breeze. Breakfast and lunch are the main attractions here. Free glass of wine if you're staying across at the Spencer Inn.

As you can see from my January 2, 2015 post on Trip Advisor, I have always loved the Blue Goose. Have always brought my friends and family for lunch, wine and coffee. About a month ago while there for lunch I mentioned my favorite table in the bay window had a "reserved" sign on it. Trish advised that in the... More

I apologized that you did not receive the warm response you expected from our staff and that there was a miscommunication concerning our policy on reservations. We do appreciate even the less than complimentary reviews. It allows us an opportunity to re-evaluate our policies and procedures and make certain all of our staff is consistently following them. Again, thank you... More

The Blue Goose is your kick back have a glass of wine kind of place. We offer a variety of fresh menu items through out the day. All fresh, nothing fried ... We carry local and imported wines and a fairly extensive variety of craft beers. We've got a dog bowl for your furry friend and sidewalk chalk for the kids. Perfect place to slow down and watch the world go by.
