From the chips, to the salsa and all the entrees we have never had less than an excellent meal. The menu it typical Mexican food but how they prepare it is what separates them from the other places. They have great tasting food. One of the telltale signs is "carnitas." Theirs was incredibly moist and flavorful with that touch of... More

Local food that captures the tastes of Mexico. Affordable...easy to get to; easy to park...easy to eat. If you are in the area...wroth a stop...don't think they take reservations...so go early...it gets very crowded...

We live in Santa Clarita and we always stop as Casa De Soria anytime we are coming through Ventura. The food is consistently very good. They have good salsa and chips. They cater to Gluten free which is good since our son has celiac.

Driving home from Santa Rosa, Googled Mexican restaurant and found this cozy place. It appears to be a favorite among locals, it was crowded but they work hard to seat you quickly. Everything was DELISH, house made tortillas & salsa make for a great appetizer. My husband had a combination plate with the pasilla chili releno & pork tamale, house... More

Stopped in for the first time with family to celebrate a birthday. The place gets packed and can get pretty loud!!! The service is very quick at getting you served. They have great margaritas and the food is very fresh and delicious...

Classic old style Cal/Mex cuisine. Prices are fair, service is prompt and friendly. Now with plenty of parking and tables, so you probably won't have to wait. Combination platters and standards done in the style of thousands of other restaurants of this era. What's different is that this one has done it well for decades and will continue to thrive.

My family, friends, and I have been coming here for over 40 years. This place never changes which is a good, good, thing. Of course this place is very well known for its chipped refried beans. In fact, legendary Huell Howser once filmed a documentary for PBS about this restaurant! Ventura has changed a lot over the years but this... More

Guacamole was fantastic as were the margaritas. The best refried beans I have ever had! We enjoyed munching on the guacamole and drinking for quite some time before ordering. The server never rushed us to order, the service was great!

Food was great as was the waitstaff. We were here last April & loved the place! Recently moved here so this will be our Mexican place for sure!

My cousin recommended this place and I'm glad we went. The food was yummy. On her recommendation I had the refried beans as I normally go with black beans and they were very good different from the usual mushy refried beans I try to avoid. Priced well. Very laid back atmosphere.

Thank D C
