I grew up in Ventura County and I make it a point to visit the Greek Restaurant with family and friends at least once a year. The food is awesome and the entertainment is great. Service has always been wonderful as well. I must say if there is any drawbacks it's that I remember years past being much better. Don't... More

First time to Ventura Harbor Village and The Greek. Got a window seat and had wonderful friendly service. Lunch time and not too crowded. Started with Saginaki (flaming cheese) flambe'd at the table....soooo delicious! Then we shared the appetizer sampler platter with sausage/onions/peppers/olives, 2 meat dolmades, 2 falafels, 2 lamb chops (cooked perfectly), hummus, tzatziki and spanikopita. We also ordered... If you like your dolmades coated in cheese sauce - same with the mushrooms - then this is the place for you. Grilled lamb chops were good quality, but why coated in some kind of onion dressing? Same with the asparagus. Too elaborate, and definitely not the Greek way of cooking. Deep fried fish and chips was the best bet... More

This was a favorite restaurant starting some 20 years ago. The venue was and still is great being right in the marina. Unfortunately the quality of some of the food is not quite as good as previous years. The sourdough bread once served used to be a treat in itself but is now replaced with a very mediocre bread. Some... More

Overcooked Pricey Steak and under cooked Pricey Salmon. Just off enough to be disappointed, but not enough to send back and disrupt the dinner for all at the table. Server was nice and friendly.

After strolling around the harbour, we stopped in for a late lunch. I had 2 starters – the falafel, which were tasty and moist and the hummous with pitta bread- yum! My husband had a great fish and chips – nice fish, in a perfect light batter and was a very reasonable price. We would return.

Okay, I'll admit we're no connoisseurs of Greek food but this was something else and it really wasn't good. My wife had the Beef Moussaka which curiously came served, and I use the term loosely, with lemon roast potatoes and between a quarter and half a pound of undercooked carrots. I went for the Gyros which also 'shared' a plate... More

Had lunch there with my cousin and best friend earlier this month. The outdoor seating and ambiance is great and relaxing and the wait staff are wonderful. The food is just meh, I had the moussaka which was not the best I've ever eaten.

On a weekday visit, my wife and I decided to have Greek for lunch. The Greek was suggested by the front desk employee at our hotel. The place has plenty of sitting, its at a great location on the harbor, good décor (makes it feel very Greek); but, since it was early (2:30 pm) the place was deserted. We chose... More

Description
On the water's edge in beautiful Ventura Harbor, The Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood offers a family owned and operated "dining experience" rather than just a meal. As close to the Mediterranean you might find in the states, many liken it to stepping onto the Island of Santorini, Greece. Enjoy even more food variety with all new menus with fabulous food photography (along with a name change). Open daily at 11 am for lunch and 4pm for dinner, as well as breakfast on Saturday & Sundays 8:30am-11am. The Greek is a great location for family and business gatherings with harbor-side activities most weekends. A recent focus on 3-5 daily selections of fresh and local seafood and produce with house specialties makes the Greek a healthy and eat local favorite. Authentic Mediterranean dishes are prepared daily with family island recipes. Saganaki flaming kefalograviera cheese is fired up tableside either inside or on waterfront patio tables. One of the owners hails from Texas so you will find Porterhouse, ribeye and filet mignon steaks on the menu as well. Hard to please the kids? They request to go to the "dancing restaurant" where it is ok to have fun with a kid's menu and activity sheet. Weekend belly dancing, Greek Dance Shows, Demetri's flips and acrobatics and Aris' famous Table Dance will amaze and delight the entire family. Join in the fun with some quick lessons and you too can become "Greek for the Day". First time guests often come as a 2, then share their experience with fiends, returning soon as a 10!! The Greek specializes in parties from 20-50 and a variety of group menu selections are available on our website. Inside seating capacity is 150 and patio capacity is 125. Holiday Group Parties include free entertainment and decorations. Groups can also book during the Parade of Lights weekend Boat Parade in December, subject to availability. Reservations are recommended and available online or by calling the restaurant. Full Bar Service inside and on the waterfront Santorini Bar & Lounge.
