I had a gyro and I couldn't even eat the whole sandwich. Tons of meat. The people were extremely nice and helpful. I would go there again.

the gyro was OK, the eggplant was poor, the salad was not very good. Seemed like "pretend" middle eastern food to me. It was fast and relatively cheap.
After reading the other reviews, I am baffled by how horrible our experience was. We visited the place around 4 PM, so perhaps we just were served the dried out, oily leftovers by a pushy man trying to make a sale before closing shop. If the food was good, I'd be disappointed by the meager serving size. (Don't let the... More
Been coming to M.E.C. for over 10 years now. I always get a "sampler plate" because everything looks so good. My son and I would meet down here once a month and eat lunch. His favorite: Spannokopitas. You have to get there early for these because they sell out quick! But with so many options, you'll want to try them... More
I was looking at all the options for places to eat in the River Market vendor hall and this place caught my eye. I had never tried middle eastern food before and was feeling curious. I saw a sign near the counter saying you could get a meal for under $10 (I forget the exact price). The man behind the... More
When I eat at the River Market, I eat here. Their gyro is the best. They have a changing menu, but the gyros are always on.
This is a food booth in the market area. The service is very friendly and the food offers a good value for what you get. It is tasty and on nice days, you can eat outside on benches.
Good mild flavors, fair-sized servings, and interesting recipes for babaganoush, hummus, and other dishes make this a nice variation from all the fried food establishments nearby.
We found this restaurant in the River Market. It's like a food court inside. I had the beef/lamb gyro. The man and lady, who was wearing a hijab assured us is was halal. Very exciting if you're muslim. They had other food and I saw all types of people in line. My gyro was delicious! I would have liked to... More
Hands down, one of the best chicken gyros I've ever had! The employees (owner perhaps?) are always happy to help, with fresh, healthy foods this is a definite wise choice if eating at the River Market!!
