Great pancakes but not so greater service. They don't take credit card but if you are with the right company it's ok and tasty.

In the restaurant we were two years in a row for breakfast and the food was always perfect. Staff were friendly and you wait not for meal, it is prepare immediately. you can see on preparation of meal. What convinced us first - the restaurant was full of local people and what's more there were also police officers, and it... More

The interior of this diner is cramped and seems deliberately designed to look "in character" - messy and dirty, with mismatched chairs and tables, and slightly surly staff. There is nothing about it that seems to relate to the French name, either in the menu or the decor. But it is a good place for a $10 breakfast, and a... More

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning before heading back home. We were looking for a good breakfast with a low key authentic experience and la bonbonniere did not disappoint! We waited for about 15 minutes (not bad) and sat at the bar which was really cool - - we were able to watch the speed and efficiency of the... More

From the outside, you would literally walk past and be put off going in, however, having read good reviews about the food I wanted to go.Had to wait a couple of mins for a table as the place is tiny. Ordered chocolate pancakes.... unbelievable, really tasty and filling. Wish I had gone back for breakfast again but was a little... More

Definitely recommend this hole in the wall for a quick solid breakfast with excellent prices! My husband got the lox omelette and I got the French toast. Both were amazing! Very quick but friendly service.

A hopping little place with a huge menu and attentive service, La Bonbonniere has a fancy name and simple excellence. The challah French toast is fantastic, omelette are pretty much perfect, and the coffee cup stays full! Cash only!

Thank Jason S

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
