We had a great breakfast here. Berry crepes were lovely -- lots of fresh berries, light crepes. Pumpkin pancakes also disappeared FAST. Probably not for bacon-and-eggs enthusiasts, but great for the rest of us.

Went there because of the name. Ok place, but not worth returning to it. As you can see in the images, all three of us tried different types of eggs Benedict dishes. Salmon, Han and the spinach ones. They were good but not exceptionally good. Conclusion: this place is for tourists who pick places by trip advisor or for first... More

The food was very expensive. The sandwiches were dry and not very tasty. The scones were only fair. The buttermilk scone was a biscuit not a scone. The tea was ok. We had a birthday lunch for my granddaughter and were essentially disappointed. Try somewhere else!!!

Had a Groupon deal for the Mad Morning breakfast for two. Wait time was about a half hour. Nice bonding time with my 9 year old daughter over 2 pots of tea, scones, scrambled eggs, yogurt and granola. Excellent deal and delicious food.

I've been to Alice's Tea Cup the past four times I've been in New York and have never left disappointed. The only thing I can really say is mediocre is the service, but then again usually I am there when it's crowded (not that that's an excuse, but it may be a contributing factor). The tea selection is probably the... More

very expensive for the quality of the food. Ice tea was SO fade ( almost only taste water and not even cold). Bread was hard and dry i could not eat, french fries were cold.... all this for something acceptable but not at all diserv a visit or paying that much money. Plus the host guy was quite unfriendly. The... More

Read reviews online and thought this will be a great place for afternoon tea and amazing scones. The tea was all right, the scones change everyday and are solid, the sandwiches are average and sadly you only get one dessert to share between the two of you (and lots of below average cookies). I got the lemon tart and that... More

No reservations policy is terrible when you cater to children. Twenty minute wait for a table for 2 turned into at least 30 minutes (probably more, but we lost track of time after a while when the hunger set in). Place was tired and dingy, not at all what we had expected. Walls were dirty and scuffed. Definitely not the... More

Trashy and sorta cute..? I've been looking forward to going to Alice's Teacup since the day I knew it existed. I was a expecting a wonderland of fairies, butterflies, teacup, etc. When I got there I was a little disappointed by what I saw. The place was small, trashy, but yet in a way kind of was cute. The wait... More

We haver never seen so many teas to choose from before. We love tea so it was a little hard to decide. It was plenty of food, sandwiches, scones and cookies/cakes. Everything was delicious. Great place to be at.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
