I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Jazz at Kitano. While I was there I had dinner. The dish that I ordered, the grilled Salmon, was so fresh that it tasted liked it had just come from the ocean. Although I don't consider myself to be an expert on seafood, I do live in Florida and buy and eat fresh... More

The service here is on point. I had a wonderful time with my fiancé; dinner and a jazz show. There were two waiters and they were extremely attentive and came around often. They were very friendly as well.

Monday night open mic had many great singers and musicians playing. Better than just seeing one band and the food was a nice compliment to the evening

Had a great time at Kitano bar called Jazz. If you would like to feel like you are in Japan this is the place. Great jazz, great cocktails, great food bites.

If staying at the hotel do check to see whether your reservation comes with a breakfast coupon -- if not, the sticker price is quite hefty for the breakfast buffet. I would love to come back to this charming space and experience it as a jazz club -- however I just stopped by for a quick breakfast. The interesting highlight... More

Tucked into the Kitano Hotel, the Jazz at Kitano room is a little NYC treasure. Cover is reasonable as is the minimum (currently $20). One of the more intimate settings for a quiet but re-growing cabaret jazz scene all over the city.

We travel to NYC once or twice a year for the jazz scene. Among the MANY wonderful places to experience this art form is "Jazz at Kitano' - Our last visit was in Oct. 2016 to celebrate bassist Martin Wind's 20th Anniversary in New York City. Martin Wind, Jim McNeely, Ingrid Jensen and Matt Wilson. AWESOME evening. And this exceptional... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
