We stopped for lunch on the way to visit a friend. We were in a hurry and choose the first place the looked remotely appealing, Bucco's Restorante. It was bright and light and the staff were friendly. We ordered pepperoni slices with sausage, spinach with goat cheese and straight pepperoni. Each was excellent, each had that crunch in the crust... More

I went in here got a seat at the counter and ordered a mix of really good food. They have draft Kirin which was cold and delicious and a really good selection of Sake. I was treated very well and I had a very good time. The bill can run up quickly so take care with that. All in all... More

My companion has been to Japan, and she was blown away by how authentic Restaurant Riki is. My only regret it s that I did not have enough time to eat there more than once. The menu is extensive, and there were many dishes I would have liked to try. Everything we had was fantastic.

This is such a hidden gem! Don't let its outside look drive you away from this place. When you first look at the place, it doesnt seem like a place you want to eat however once you enter you can see that it's full of Asian people, and for me that was the sign of good Asian food! And I... More

My husband and I have been there a few times but we have been feeling more and more that everytime we go there with no reservation they will not give us a table although you could see many empty tables. Even when we have made (twice) a reservation they deny us saying there was no reservation. Food is good but... More

The food is varied and tastes very authentic. All staff are Japanese and the no tipping policy makes it so easy - even if tips already included in pricing (Which means they pay their staff better than a poor waiter's wage), it really is super value for money for the food you get. Tea is complimentary. I was eating solo... More

A month ago I was in Tokyo for a week. My son thought I should eat at Riki and see how the food compared to what I ate in Tokyo. He believes NYC restaurants have everything under the sun you can think of, and as good as the host countries. We ordered Okonomi yaki, pancake with mix of shrimp, squid and... More

The place was full of Japanese, on a Wednesday night around 8:30PM which I took to be a good sign. I was greeted just like a remember being greeted in Japan, by all staff when a new customer walks in. It's kind of nice and you know your presence is noted and appreciated. I was seated at the counter between... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
