The test for me and Mexican restaurants is always about the quality and freshness of ingredients. When they take pride in that, their preparations are usually a given. This restaurant is just around the corner from my apartment, and I was hoping for the best. But to be honest, I could never really return after my first meal. The steak... More

In search of some good nachos we found this place. It was better than another we had tried, had a clean bathroom so that was a plus! Good service, good margaritas

Found this place walking from SOHO to Greenwich Village around 4pm. $20 pitcher of margarita w/chips-salsa-guac @happy hour. Very good! We staggered out and ended up at anither Mexican joint for dinner. We regret not walked back and eating dinner here. A jewel of a place.

My husband and I visited NYC on March Break and we stayed in the neighbourhood of this restaurant, Bamboleo. I wanted Mexican food so I asked for a recommendation from he woman we stayed with and she said to go here. It was a great choice. The decor and atmosphere is very charming and the food was sooooo good. I... More

This place had wonderful authentic Mexican food at great prices, with really sweet staff who were friendly and attentive. Portions were huuuuge so we really got our money's worth. We loved this area of New York as it's a lot calmer than the hustle and bustle of central Manhatten, so if you're looking for a quieter place to dine, this... More

My husband and I were there in June 2015 and we loved the atmosphere and the shrimp quesadillas were delicious. The margaritas were good and strong.

We try to avoid restaurants that draw in tourists, but on Halloween we wanted to be near the parade and felt like Mexican, so we tried this festive spot on Bleeker Street. It was fun and festive - staff were all really friendly, service was quick and accurate and the prices were really good. (Dinner for two including top shelf... More

this place wasn't bad, but it wasn't extraordinary either, not enough to highly recommend or go back to considering how many Mexican places there are to try in the city. the staff seemed kind of emotionless but the food was decent. the atmosphere was nice, too.

Cool little Mexican Restaurant on the corner with one of the most delicious chimichanga's I have ever tasted. Not only is it big, but very crisp and juicy with an amazing vegetarian option. The margaritas are hand muddled and come in many options. I had the Jalapeño Skinny and it was absolutely amazing (if you can handle the spice).

Went here with husband & child and the three of us loved it. Simple, healthy, freshly prepared food with some healthful twists on traditional dishes (like spinach enchiladas with black beans and brown rice). (You can still find the traditional versions.)Wonderful and reasonably priced. Perfect if you are looking for a good, satisfying meal and not anything fancy or pretentious.
