Wonderful restaurant with stupendous service! The pastor tacos were delicious and we ordered the additional five salsas which we enjoyed as well. We walked quite always to find this place and it was worth the extra effort!

Was lucky enough to have dinner at this restaurant with friends who are locals and know the owner/chef. What a treat, having this kind of subtle Mexican cuisine, a place tourists likely would never hear about. I have travelled and lived in Mexico and know how varied and ingenious the cuisine can be, so was a bit wary that this... More

A great little South American eatery with a range of delicious dishes. During a week's stay, we visited twice it was so good. Great atmosphere on a Friday night as the tequila flows. Dishes are perfectly sized given that many dishes in NYC are enormous, in my opinion. Every mouthful tasted fresh, spicy and a little bit different from the... More

We came across this place on our recent vacation. The food was excellent. We shared a few different things, and they were all tasty. It was super noisy there, however. Loud conversations are one thing, but the music was blasting, so of course everybody had to speak up.

came back to this small place in SoHo after a few years and it is the same - short menu with great Mexican dishes, we ordered a few tacos, tortillas and nachos. a great way to have a quick bite before you move on in your SoHo tour. they show Mexican football games in a rather loud volume, so find... I have been going here for years after stumbling across the margarita happy hour which turned into many happy hours. Sit at the bar with some drinks, guacamole and watch the world go by. A perfect place to live like a local, even if only for a couple of hours.

Come for a lively bar scene, international soccer matches on the TV, excellent margaritas, and authentic Mexican served in a casual, cozy space. The special salsas are a hint of the authenticity of the very tasty real Mexican food served here. Be sure to try the Carnitas. Only drawback is that it can get pretty noisy when there is a... More

I can't even tell you how many times I've been to Papatzul! When my husband first discovered it, we went every Friday for a month and have been back several times since. There's nothing like Authentic Mexican food and this restaurant has yet to disappoint. My Favorite is the fish tacos and Ceviche. The Watermelon margarita is my favorite cocktail!... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
