This bar used to be awesome! It had a pool table, ski ball, and the best free burger with a drink, free wings with a pitcher deal. They have now changed this deal to "free before 5pm." Who goes to a bar before 5pm? That's just lame. Won't go back here even though I live on the same block. So... More

Looking for a good pub burger on the upper east side but this wasn't it... this wasn't it. Beers on tap were good but the food wasn't. Pull pork was tough and fries were floppy. Burger was just okay. I'll keep looking.

Derrick, Murph', and Connor made this weary traveler WELCOME and at-HOME! Having just come into town from Cork, Ireland, Merrion's brought me back to the auld country! These guys can pour a stout! Very impressive artwork (I understand the artwork rotates). MULTIPLE local craft brews, and VERY GREAT chow!

Eclectic beer selection, lots on tap. Good bar food. Family friendly, but better with adults (like every good bar).

NYC is an ever changing organism and you either adapt or die. I get that. But this dive bar was perfect. PERFECT. It had a super chill atmosphere, 24/7 free burger with your 1st beer social, a pool table, and skeeball. Craft beer on rotating taps but always 5 or 6 quality staples to count on being there. But no... More

Lots to like here for a friendly bar food experience. Barrels for tables, free burgers and fries with some beers or ciders; very good fish and chips on the day I stopped by for lunch. Very friendly staff, attractive to the younger crowd.

You have to love a bar that plays some proper hip-hop. The first time I came here they were playing Pharcyde and then Dilated Peoples followed by some Big L. The bartenders are cool and their beer selection is awesome. They have micros from different parts of the world so there's always something good to try. After you get drunk,... More

Has an excellent craft brew/microbrew selection. About 15 micros on tap and a number of microbrew bottles. If you are staying in this neighborhood and like this type of beer, then this is a must.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
