Took my wife for after-theatre date night during a recent week in the city, having tried for years to get a table. It was, hands down, the best tasting menu I've ever had in my native New York City and one of the top I've ever had in my life (out of many, having lived in Europe for over 20... More

Had dinner there last friday. Really fantastic dinner. I ate here with friends. We are drinking group. In addition to the real fantastic food the cocktails were memorable. Highlight of the dinner was the duck and the razor clams. Expensive Expensive. But worth it for such creative food.

I'll just start and say that the food and creativity level is unbelievable, now you ask why only 3 stars? Here at this restaurant everyone sits around a bar top which is cool but the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. I had to stand several times during my meal to wake my legs and back from falling asleep and subside the... More

We were fortunate to dine at the counter at Momofuku Ko and loved every mouthful and every minute of it. The staff and service was exceptional and the interaction with the kitchen staff was a highlight. The degustation menu was one of the best I have eaten anywhere in the world and so so filling. Congrats to all the team.

A perfect NYC Saturday. A sunny but very cold walk down to East Village and then this explosion of tastes. A brilliant restaurant with the most competent staff. An unforgettable lunch with 18 courses!

One of the best degustation meals I've had ever. I love David Chang so much for his entire Momofuku franchise. The experience was surreal to say the least. 18 courses in less than 3 hours. All the flavours and smells will stay with me forever. Though, I must say that I found the drink pairing a bit too strong. I... More

What a taste explosion! Absolutely one of the best degustation meals in the city. Every bite was a flavour explosion. Unfortunately the premium wine pairing was disappointing. Sure I love grand cru champagne and it's nice to see a somm unafraid to pair it with food but after the 5th glass of champagne it was becoming rather funny. I may... More

Ko to this day remains to be the favorite among much competition. It is a unique two Michelin star gem that will impress you from your first sip to your last bite. Earning 2 Michelin Stars is an amazing achievement of excellence. So it's not surprising that the 18 course tasting menu at David Changs world famous New York restaurant, momofuku ko, was one of the top dinners I've ever had! Each small course was separately served and the service took 2.5 hours. And it was pure multi sensory entertainment: a smorgasbord... More

The first thing that hits you when you enter Momofuku Ko is the intimacy. The restaurant has only two tables. The remainder of the seating is counter seating with the chefs preparing your food in front of you. Not only was the food delicious but it was entertaining to see how the food was prepared. I asked for the vegetarian... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
