I had, hands down, the best falafel sandwich ever at Murray's Falafel. I'm so surprised and so pleased at this gem. The generous portions/sizes, the delicious white and green sauces, the oozing flavors, the crispiness on the outside yet softness on the inside of the falafel. Wow... just wow... so good.

You don't need to be kosher to enjoy the food here. Generous portions, friendly service, clean and most of all really good Israeli/Mediterranean food. We will be back!

The staff was very accommodating. I came in and said it was my first time, they gave me a free taste of their awesome falafel!

Don't expect a candlelight romantic dinner. What you get is a great falafel sandwich for a good price.

This small falafel/schawarma restaurant is the best of its kind--by far! The food is extremely fresh. How often will one get crisp lettuce and fresh vegetables on a Sunday in the summer? The pita is very fresh and tasty. The falafel balls (you get two of them as soon as you sit down, whether or not you order falafel) are,... More

Murray's is a small little place, only a few tables, but their falafel in a pita is the best I have ever eaten. The falafel is not greasy, not salty, nice crunch on the outside, and oh so tender and moist on the inside. No other falafel compares. The pita is thick and chewy. There are soups, rice and beans,... This unassuming place has great food. You wouldn't think much of it from the outside as there are many small restaurants like it around East Village but this one definitely has some GREAT food. This was the first time we have stayed in East Village. We usually stay on the Upper East side, Upper West side or even Chelsea but... More

Murrays is small, but the taste is great and the variety excellent. You can eat in or take out. Murrays bills itself as an Israeli style falafel and schwarma eatery. I Its described by many, including ourselves, as having the best falafel in town. The sandwiches are filling and the plates -- you may need to take some home. The... More
