Neat place in Chinatown. Seems to be always busy worth the wait and the crowd. Traditional dishes are the best

We have been here many times and it is always good. The food is great, service is quick and it is clean and pleasant. It is one place that has consistently been good over many years.

Ive been thete dozens of times overthe years. The food is good. The ambience is below avg. however if you want good chinese food this is the place NYers go. I always make it a point each time I visit NY to return.

Been going here for decades. Now that I've left the NY/NJ area for DC, one thing that is like no other is Wo Hops' Chow Fun (especially the roast duck chow fun). On our trip to NYC last month, we included a trip to Wo Hop - lunch consisted of an order of chow fun for each of us (is... More

When in NYC you must visit China town! We stopped at Wo Hop based on a recommendation by friends... the steamed dumplings and the woo fun beef were excellent! Orange chicken and chicken fried rice were good.... fried dumplings not so great. the only real detractor was the staff... super unfriendly... this is why only 3 stars. Worth a stop...... More

I was so impressed with this place. I looked on TripAdvisor for a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown and chose this one from a huge list. Not exactly a good first impression going down a narrow staircase to a tiny restaurant where you can barely squeeze through the door. The restaurant and furniture very plain and simple. I was wondering what... More

Very attentive service in an atmosphere which has not changed in decades...can get crowded, and tables may be shared...but a warm plate of chow fon is the antidote to all ailments.

A long time Chinatown classic Cantonese cuisine. Downstairs and small crowd seating-about 40. Non booth seating means sharing bigger tables. Always crowded on weekends with line up the stairs to Mott St. Portions are for sharing. Had favorite shrimp chow fun $7.50. Also, beef like lo mein $7.50. Lots of shrimp and beef in these dishes. You go here for... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
