No longer there. The bakery that is in its place was not open at 7:30 am and no hours listed. Basically no breakfast options in the area if you get up early for the Harry Potter queue.

We ate here a few times on our 5 day trip. Absolutely divine cheese sandwiches, fresh squeezed OJ, delightful coffee and lattes. Super clean, delightful staff, and! you can watch them bake. Such a great little place. Only challenge is the tables are tiny... really...tiny.More
Of all the breakfast places I visited during my week-long stay in NYC, this was my favorite. Service is friendly (thanks, Brandon!) and prompt and the place is immaculate, food fabulous. The baked goods are out of this world delicious and it reminds me of...Paris every time I come here. I'm not surprised as they have many locations in Paris. Bon Apetit!More
Very good for taking breakfast or afternoon snack, great food, with a little tight space, the price is also not very good.
Post dinner summons sweets at day's end. I miss the City of Light "Paris: La Ville-Lumière", Paris, France as it is a beautiful city. I also missed the gratifying of French cuisine and French architecture appeal. My server Brittney provided average customer service who publicly...visibly appeared nonchalant without the will to genuinely service customers. I decided to takeout for a at-home gratifying. This business hones authenticity to French culture: restaurant in the rear and bakery for takeout in the front. Business cards are available for grabs. Utter dismal price. Adagio $6.80 Chocolate mousse with a passion fruit center, flourless chocolate biscuit, topped with a chocolate glaze and a mini almond macaron cookie. The signage does not contain a brief description of what this pastry entails, but my server Brittney verbally informed me the details. Pinterest from Maison Kayser also provides a very detailed description which is very informative. This individual cake is very light and decadent as it is not rich nor heavy for swallowing. I actually enjoyed this pastry to the tee. I am enamored with the passion fruit center for the sweetness. French Macarons (box of two pieces) I believe the flavors were: one vanilla and one chocolate passion. There were no signage for flavor names nor pricing. This is possibly one of the reasons for the extremely poor reviews of this business - lack of information provided to customers. How does customers know what flavors and what about the pricing? These cookies broke apart upon opening the plastic box. They were average as I had better macarons elsewhere. The plastic box were very restrictive and confined as it was very difficult to open the flaps.More
We visited here on a lovely sunny day in November. Unfortunately the seating in the sun was for takeout only and the other seating was in the shade so we sat inside. However the food for breakfast/brunch was really tasty. We tried the oat cereal,...eggs Benedict and fruit salad and selection of pastries. Everything was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.More
They have a great selection of pastries, breads; makes it hard to decide. Their croissants are very good; this time I tried the almond-chocolate one. I'm hooked!
Went into this place to recharge while exploring Union Square on Columbus Day, Oct 14, 2019. Was warmly welcomed by all the staff there. What a pleasant surprise in NYC! Ordered the Crab with Avocado on Tartine sandwich...OMG it was Excellently-executed! At $14, this was...an unexpected discovery! The baked-instore sour dough bread was toasted and crunchy and loaded with cold crab meat and avocados. I also ordered a coffee which the very nice waiter refilled. Finally, I asked for a recommendation for dessert and had the raspberry mousse cake which was really good! I had a wonderful time at Maison Kayser near Union Sq/Flatiron district. You will not regret it! Thank you to all the happy staff at that restaurant for making my visit so memorable! ⭐️❤️⭐️❤️⭐️More
Would have given five stars but the seating area was a bit small and with our shopping bags it was a bit of a tight fit. Other than that the food was excellent and the waitress was helpful and polite, price was reasonable considering the...location.More
Good menu, attentive staff that was efficient, outdoor seating on a beautiful day. Good value for the meal that we received. I will recommend with reservation.
Great coffee and cakes but why use throw-away cups and boxes to serve them in instead of proper cups and plates. Such unnecessary waste. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.
For whatever reason, this Maison Kayser tries to make a go at sit-down service for 2/3 of the restaurant. I visited in the summertime and they had the doors open with the A/C on (illegal in NYC but I am not a eco inspector). In...the battle of sun versus climate control, the sun won handily and it was hot as Hades. Service was a bit confused - someone brought one of our items to an empty table that had already left and just left it there. You sort of wonder who they thought they were serving. But who can blame them because did I mention it was so flipping hot in the place? The menu is decent although overly concentrated in egg-based dishes so make sure everyone in your party appreciates that type of fare. Good formula for a restaurant - very fast to prepare - but needed more breadth.More
Stopped by for a coffee and some quick breakfast before starting the day near the Flatiron building. Maison Kayser caught our eye as it is a quaint aesthetic little cafe. The menu items were quite expensive for what it was (ex: $10 USD for 2...eggs any style). My friend ordered fresh fruit which was $7 USD. I had a croissant ($4 USD) which was a good size and very flaky, pairing well with the provided jam and a latte ($4.75 USD) which was good but nothing to write home about. Overall, it was a decent experience but nothing special.More
Our daughter was craving a macaroon while we were in Times Square. The ones we picked up here were very good. The store was clean and the people were friendly and helpful. I can't comment on anything else, but the macaroons were exactly what we...were looking for.More
French Bakery and Cafe in the Flatiron District. I stopped off here for breakfast on a long walk to the 9/11 Memorial from Times Square on a Sunday morning. Delicious almond croissants and great coffee. Loved it!
