I used to travel to Cuba pre 9/11 to hand deliver medical aid to the Cuban people. So I know Cuban food first hand. I never pass up a chance to partake in those memories. I ordered every one a cuban sandwich. Everyone was satisfied and pleased by the product. Of course it was not like being there, but I... More

Met with my sister for a few drinks in the middle of the day and ended up staying till the evening where we found ourselves immersed in the lively Cuban crowd. Food is good but the drinks are great! The service is good and staff are friendly. Loved the live band!

Guantanamera is a narrow, rather noisy little restaurant near Columbus Circle with a lively, very Cuban atmosphere. Everybody seems to know everybody else. And when the music starts, the place really gets jumping! We had tons of fried yucca and shared a very nice paella, with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops. But the best thing was the mojito! Without doubt the best... More

I went in for an early dinner and happened upon Happy Hour instead. The mojitos and 'Happy Hour'-sized Cubanos were reasonably tasty and very well priced. The bartender was excellent and make sure that everyone at the bar (including myself) was amply supplied with eats and drinks. Was it the best mojito or cubano I've ever had...well no. But it... We came here on Saturday night for a 40th birthday celebration for my friend and we were not disappointed. They gave my buddy a huge sparkler and sang happy birthday for him. Overall the service was spot on. We had some killer empanadas, stuffed plantains with shrimp in Cuban sauce and super fresh ceviche for an appetizer. I had a... More

Food was good but not out of this world. much better than the Commercial crap they serve at Havana Central.at leat this place the food tastes fresh and not made in bulk. My wife's empanadas/pastelillos and papa release are better. Not enough seasoning in them. I guess i am spoiled. A little more expensive then i am used to but... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
