My pal showed me some pictures, I was convinced. Hot footed it down from Hells Kitchen and arrived just in time to beat the queues. We chose the chocolate heart cakes with molten centres and I was talked into a syringe shot of dark chocolate. The cake was really good but maybe a little on the sweet side if you... More

I really loved the place. You have to reserve, because it is always crowded. You must try the chocolate drinks, they are just amazing. It is a nice place to go with family and friends. It is pretty close to Union Square. The food is good and you can easily share.

I have been coming to MB with my family for many years. I would like to acknowledge Angel, who used to serve us. He is now a manager. I am so happy for him. He is a calm and helpful individual. As a hectic restaurant, it is great to see his poise. He took great care of us during our... More

I consider myself as a connoisseur of chocolates and such is my reputation among my friends and family members. I have tried tens of places in the US but also in Europe (where the chocolates are generally of higher quality). These are clearly overrated and so overpriced - nice packaging but that's it, the real stuff is below average. Dark... More

Let me preface by stating, I don't usually write negative reviews, but I was thoroughly disappointed. I have been wanting to come here for quite sometime. I had friends in the city so upon my recommendation we went. It was Saturday afternoon and super crowded and we were a party of 7. Luckily (or so I thought) we were able... More

We thought the chocolate theme and decor was going to mean sub-standard food (at least for the adults) and we were pleasantly surprised! Really excellent mac and cheese. Warning: it is served in a rather large skillet, our two 13 year olds could only eat half. The Mexican omelet was excellent and Belgian waffles came with real whipped cream. Little... More

We had an excellent meal at Max Brenners, as long as you know what to expect: very busy and very noisy! But both the burger and the mac&cheese were excellent. Cheapest red wine bottle is 40$, and cheapest red wine by the glass (not a large one...) is 10.50$, which is quite expensive. But hey! You're in New York!

A group of friends met here for a birthday dinner and I would say the results were decidedly mixed. The food included highlights and disappointments, but the service was consistently top notch. Let's start with the ambiance... The dining room is spacious with high ceilings and nice decorations. The pipes of flowing chocolate overhead were a nice touch! We were... More

We came at lunch time and got the mac and cheese, steak sandwiches, and burger. The mac and cheese was really good (not as cheese underneath as it looks though) and so were the french fries. The steak sandwich wasn't really what I expected, but it was decent. We also got milkshakes and chocolate syringes to go, both of which... More

I love max brenner, but I have been left disappointed. In December 2016 I bit into a burger which contained glass! The manager was mortified and took the burger away, he was very concerned and attentive but Ive had a lack of communication from anyone in head office about the incident. Ive chipped a tooth and cannot eat a burger... More
