After more than 30 years in business, my favorite Indian restaurant recently closed - leaving a giant void in my life. Trying to find something even remotely close has not been easy, but Tiffin Wallah (also known as Chennai Garden by Tiffin Wallah) has definitely helped ease some of the pain! Neither the restaurant or the service are particularly impressive,... More

Firstly the name is " Chennai garden by tiffin wallah". There are lots of Indian restaurant close by to this restaurant but I found it most appealing since it serves only vegetarian food. I found food really good. Southern indian dishes are delicious.Ambience is good and give you a feel that you are in India (not in NY)

I have enjoyed Tiffin Wallah a number of times, especially for lunch. Today, I went there for lunch. After being seated for less than 5 minutes, the manager came over and said: "Are you done, I have people waiting for a table?" I was only there a few minutes. Granted, it was a busy Friday lunch hour. But he ruined... More

What a great vegetarian/ vegan curry restaurant. The staff are so friendly & welcoming, the food is just so lovely I had a spinach dosa which was really good. My sister & brother in law also had Dosa & my mum had a vegetable curry all looked lovely. Would definitely recommend & well worth a visit.

Name is definitely confusing (Chennai garden and tiffin wallah) but the food is good. You get lot of indian food variety within same menu.

Went here for dinner. First of all name is confusing. Is it tiffin wallah or chennai garden by tiffin wallah? We ordered aloo chaat and samosa chaat for appetizers. Samosa chaat was good but aloo chaat had no spices just bland. For entrees we didnt want to do dosa. So went with north Indian food. Daal makhani and paneer kofta.... More

Had dinner last night at this Indian restaurant. The Rawa idlis and Dahi wada were tasty. Also enjoyed the Rawa masala dosa!

This restaurant has fantastic food and good service. It is easily recognizable from the street by its green awning, and the Kadai Paneer is positively addictive. I was very pleased with the dining experience there and would gladly refer friends.
