I was really nervous about visiting this restaurant after I had read a few bad reviews however we weren't disappointed. Myself, husband and 11 year old son visited and had a brilliant night. My son can be quite picky with food but the waiter (ninja!) was really helpful and was able to change the menu slightly so my son got... More

I had dined here several years back and had a fun experience so I decided to come back with my teenage daughter. We were seated in a back room with 4 other tables all full of young kids. Not exactly the experience I was going for. My daughter had the salmon teriyaki which was very basic with some plain broccoli... More

The Ninja part was fun... but the food was TERRIBLE, especially for the price. The lobster bisque was the worst I've had... calamari was bad but my son liked it a little bit... the mango rolls were really bad... even the ribeye was bad! (Too fatty and not a great cut of meat by any means). The only food that... More

My 7 year and I did an overnight adventure to NYC and Ninja was the perfect 'date night' spot for us. The experience was playful and fun for him. They have you enter the 'ninja layer' down an elevator through a windy dark hallway. The waitstaff startles you with ninja moves, so be prepared. Tables are private and tucked away.... More

I went to ninja a few years ago with some friends and remembered that I had a good time. I decided to go back with my boyfriend. We had made reservations for 6:30 but we showed up a little early around 5:30 and asked if they had anything available or else we could stay at the bar. They said yes... More

My GF had told me about this place and I was excited to try it and it was awesome. I've been to haunted houses and don't think I scare easily, but a few times they got me here. It was all part of the experience which made it so cool. Our waiter, Chester, was extremely attentive and did a great... More

Pros: - The bisque and calamaris were very very good - The decor is beautiful and all the tables have their own spot, you don't have any neighbors - The quantities are huge...for us it was way too big so it's a con as explained below, but I think it could be a pro for some people. You can bring... More

A friend had been here a few years ago and recommended it. The "ninjas" were brilliant; this is definitely not just a place for kids (two of us in our late 20's and we loved it!). Huge amounts of food for the price (remember you're in the USA and don't over-order like we did, we were eating sushi for 3... More

I went or the fist time with my wife and at the enter the lady told me that we cannot be received because we didn't made a reservation and just ignored us at the door. Was a so big deception be there for the first time and get turned outside at the door. I waited years to go to that... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
