Incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. Lovely service. Outdoor seating is a plus in warm weather. The best sushi on the Upper West Side!

So there's Tuna, Toro, Chu-Toro, and Oh-Toro. Where else can you go seeing that it is raw fish??? Nature doesn't have a next step up. Gari figured it out!. They put things on top of the sushi that compliment it. For example, Salmon sushi comes...More
Have eaten there a number of times. Always had a superb meal. The restaurant itself is small and unassuming. One goes there for the food not the ambiance. Service is very nice and accommodating. The quality of the fish and preparation is tops

Still my favorite restaurant in the world - great unique sushi. Usually crowded tho so reservations highly recommended. Service is friendly although they're very busy. Sitting at the sushi bar is probably better for couples if you're going for the omakase.

Comparisons are difficult but Sushi of Gari on Columbus Avenue had excellent food and fine service at their Sushi bar. The tasting menu at the bar was beautifully prepared and presented. Yes, it is expensive but it was an experience that I am happy to...More
