Great beef stroganoff and salmon. Excellent service. Nice tea and coffee service. Expensive, even at lunch.

Five os us decided to try the Russian Tea Room for brunch. Basically, we go to the same restaurants when we visit NYC three to five times a year. I'm always pushing them to try new things. Needless to say, I lost some of my foodie street cred during our RTR visit. The setting was beautiful, but the service was... More

Let's start by saying it is a historic landmark of sorts and I wanted to go. It is beautiful inside and seating is comfortable. Servers also pleasant. However the china is plain white like you would find at a diner and the pastries are blah. The caviar was a small dot on a cracker with some sort of white cream... More

We arrived at the Russian Tea Room with plenty of time before our concert at Carnegie Hall so wanted to experience the vintage flavor we had heard about. The vodka list is extensive./ The food offerings interesting and the service was good.

I do not know how the Russian Tea Room was in the past. What I experienced was a feeble attempt to present English Hight Tea experience as Russian. However, even in that they failed. The tea sandwiches were mostly bland and not tasty. The so called American caviar and blini was simply awful. The tea was served in a tea... More

We had a lovely afternoon tea here and really enjoyed the food and the decor. The service wasn't really what I expected and was a little bit like we were part of a production line. It didn't exactly spoil the visit but it was surprising and a bit disappointing.

We had high expectations as it was booked for a birthday treat, however after a 40 minute wait at our table to be served we left. It seems over rated as a tea room, poor service & expensive. I can't vouch for the food as unfortunately we didn't get to try it. Unless you love traditional surroundings and the Russian... More

Delightful cocktails, exquisitely cooked rack of lamb and short rib stroganoff, friendly and welcoming service and sumptuous decor. A real treat for dinner.

The room was spectacular - so much fun to just look around. The service was superb. We couldn't have asked for a better waiter. We had high tea. The food was excellent - the sandwiches really popped with flavor. Fun treat!
