We have eaten numerous times at this wonderful restaurant and we can always count on an excellent meal. I had the calamari and octopus appetizer followed by the veal. Nothing less than terrific. My SO had the carpaccio and salmon. Also excellent. We really feel like we are on Italy. Service is great, food is price but worth it. A... More

I travel a lot for work reasons. I have been to several countries and restaurants. This one is a very good choice. Good environment, waiters very polite and good food. But not the best. I had a fettuccine with shrimps and zuchine and my wife fettuccine with egg plant. As starter we had burrata. Very pricy. So that it is... More

On the positive side, the restaurant looks the part. Nice atmosphere with candlelit dining and the service was excellent with a very professional waiter. Also, a nice wine list. However, the food was average at best. I would have given a lower rating but my wife seemed to enjoy her ravioli well enough. I ordered an appetizer from the specials... More

This is a nice place: nice decor, very good food and service, but..............they really missed the mark this time. I am still giving it a very good DESPITE many issues. Upon arriving, they said we have no reservation. We were seated. Our order was taken, and when the entrees came, they were wrong. We were told it would take 25... More

Limited menu, but very good food. Service was extremely rushed. Always like to enjoy a relaxing dinner, and this was not it. Food came quickly. Tables were also very close together and no sense of private conversation.

La Masseria is conveniently located in the theater district, Midtown. We had an early dinner, arriving at 5:30. Within 15 minutes, almost every table was full. That is probably due to the fact that the service is outstanding and the food, delicious. We split a great salad and had pasta with seafood. The portions are generous. For dessert, try the... More

So I was hoping for better while dining inside at La Masseria. Maybe I had higher expectations but I found the food to be just ok nothing really memorable. I must say that the place has a really nice ambience and the staff was very attentive and courteous. I chose the black and white pasta special with large prawns. Like... More

We were enjoying a cosy evening while enjoying great Italian food. The fish and meat dish were very good. As a starter we shared the fritto misto and the sea food was prepared perfectly not tough at all. we had the home made fettuccini and the large Rigatoni. The cheese cake and apple tart were very good. It is a... More

Based on the rating, we had high hopes for a great meal. My husband got a chicken dish and it was dry. My gnocchi were bland and gummy in texture. The fresh bread and breadsticks were the highlight of the meal.

La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The 250-bottle wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.
