La Masseria is conveniently located n the theatre district, and timely accommodates show-goers. The service is very pleasant and attentive. The dining room is pretty, BUT the tables are much, MUCH too close together with little space for waitstaff and patrons to maneuver, leading to...More

Charming, old school Italian bistro. Attentive white tablecloth service. Extensive menu and generous portions. We had a very pleasant business lunch here. Highly recommend.

A high quality Italian restaurant which is very popular both before and after a Broadway show (or even instead of as in our case!). There is a good buzz about the place and the food and service are of a high quality.

We picked this restaurant since it was literally steps away from our hotel on a very cold NY weekend. They treated us like royalty there. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. They split our appetizers into 3 plates, brought us fresh berries for our wine and provided...More

We arrived around 6 pm for the pre theater crowd. Pretty crowded and noisy but vibrant. Reservations definitely a must.

La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The 250-bottle wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.
