I'm not sure how many Irish folks still live on the Upper East Side, but there certainly are plenty of Irish bars in the neighborhood. This one is pretty typical, with lots of good cold beer, poor to moderately good bar foods, very friendly staff and depending on your luck, happy and friendly patrons.

Drinks only on the bar side. Server was friendly. International clientele watching the Olympics on the numerous tv's. Beer was col, and the house wine was not plonk. Happy hour all day long. Bathrooms need work........

Stopped for a quick bite after visiting family at Sloan Kettering. Shrimp in a basket was good. French fries were ok. Wings were good. Bacon over cooked but tasty. Only 5 people in the restaurant.

This place is a must experience for live band karaoke on a Thursday night ( need to google to find out if it is offered every Thursday). It was my husband's birthday and we had an awesome time singing the night away with family and patrons. The band is the best we have ever experienced and Marty, who is the... More

Found this place just around the corner from where we were staying. The first night was great! Good atmosphere, drinks, food. We decided to go back....everything was great until the bill. All four of us were paying separately. No one ever asked us how we were paying. The server just brought us one bill. We asked if it could be... More

Ate here a dozen times this summer. The fish is caught daily and is very good. The beer selection is also very good. Staff is extremely friendly. Will go back again.

went there for a pint of IPA. This rough, bad breathed barman serves my pint with an attitude. Oh man, what a waste of time and money. Having so many fantastic places in NYC why go there. Avoid it at any cost!!!

Popped in for a drink on a Saturday night, the place was reasonably busy late on, but not crazy, nice selection of music playing and a good bartender who pulled beers, poured shots and mixed a good cocktail. Didn't try food, but would happily go back for drinks here any time I am in the area, a good neighborhood place... More

Irish pubs can be a hit or miss, this was for us was a miss. The draft beer was nice 'n' cold but the tap list was the usual Guiness and Smithwick's. We only ordered 2 appetizers, crab stuffed mushrooms and nacho platter. The mushrooms were warmed over white button mjshrooms'with a orangish tasteless filling. The nacho platter was plentiful... Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
