It is one of the most popular and renowned jazz clubs in New York City. I've been there a couple of times. It is small so it is difficult to find a table, make reservation. The bar option is good, but very noisy. So if you're going to see an artist that you love, pay more and sit on a... More

Tonight's fantastic performance was world renowned trumpeter Chris Botti. You are packed-in like sardines but that's ok. It's a small intimate venue with a certain charm. Five of us ordered food and drinks with no regard to cost as we work hard and don't care about a budget. All was great until the check came. A cursory review revealed that... More

I know it's supposed to be about the music, but this club seems to be making every effort to spoil the experience. I've been in my share of crowded jazz clubs around the world, but this was my first time at the Blue Note. The way they jam people in was hard to believe, particularly the 'policy' of putting 6... Best jazz arists on the planet perform here. Place is small, crowded with tourists. Sound was quite good. If you like the performer - go.

We went here to see a Monty Alexander gig. I have never experienced a venue where the tables were so tightly packed that once seated you could not get out. It was so claustrophobic that I dread to imagine what would have happened if there was a fire. The food was average as was the music. The staff were ok... More

If you love jazz go to The Blue Note! We went to see Lee Ritenour and David Grousin (sp?) on a Saturday night. It's a small venue so you can see the stage about anywhere in the room. Better seats are available early. Let's talk food. Skip it for dinner. It's pricey and just okay. Your best bet is just... More

We paid for reservations for 3 and at the last minute our friend couldn't join us, so we were out $35 - Oh Well. Otherwise a good evening. I have heard of the Blue Note for jazz for years and nice to finally go. We shared a couple of appetizers for dinner, the cheese and fruit was very nice, and... More

We went to the club specifically for the jazz but went early to eat so we'd have better seats. We were pleasantly surprised to find the food was delicious and the drinks were perfection. Amazing bartender. The service was impeccable. Even though the seating was very tight, when you sit with other jazz lovers you don't even notice.

If you want to listen to awesome jazz players, don't miss it. The cost of the entrance worths every penny. If you want to dine, do it somewhere else. Food is expensive for what you receive . Just have a drink whilst you listen to great music.

You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel.
