Good local bar busy during the week. due to banks nearby but quieter at weekends. I had a lovely Irish Stew here and it was great. The staff (Brendon) are great and a nice local atmosphere.

Nothing fancy, just a good selection of beer, nice atmosphere and decent pub grub. For me, the shepherd's pie beats the fish and chips, but reasonable people can disagree.

Stopped in for the lunch special, which changes daily. Dined at the bar. Bartender was excellent and the beers were great! Food is awesome! Draws a regular crowd.

New York may be full of Irish bars but you would be hard pushed to find any better or more welcoming than Maggie's Place. Good food and excellent service . A special mention to both Brendan and Keira whom though extremely busy behind the bar , still had the time to make our visit pleasant and welcoming. Next time we're... More

Amazing service, atmosphere and food right in the middle of the city. We were looking for a quiet retreat after a crazy day and everything about our visit was exactly what we needed.

Maggie's had typical pub food and does it all well. Burgers and shepherd's pie are tops. Fish and chips are good, although slightly rubbery. Salads are good as well. It can get crowded at lunchtime, so call ahead if you can. Usually, you can walk right in anyway.

Went there with my coworkers and had the grilled steak salad and it was excellent. The waitress was very attentive and let us sit there a long time during busy lunch.

Having visited on a day it was closed, we went back for late lunch and were not disappointed. We sat upstairs, very quiet but it was the time of day, Noisy in the bar area. Food was well cooked and enjoyable as was the Brooklyn beer.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
