My friends and I were looking for a quick pizzeria to stop ate in Little Italy. We were expecting decent pizza since we were in Little Italy after all. What we got was disgusting, super cheesy and greasy pizza. It was not worth our time, money, or appetites. We were all very disappointed with our food here.

Cha Cha's in Little Italy has the best service and food around! With a comfortable setting yet still elegant dining, it provides great atmosphere and pleasant surroundings for a great Italian meal. The waiter was prompt, attentive, and very friendly. He made ordering easy. Early in the meal I was served a delicious bottle of wine I ordered and a... More

Not sure if we were just there at the wrong time but something seriously wrong with their view on service : We were a party of 3 and ordered an expresso, capuccino, strawberry shake, diet coke, cheese pie and ice cream. It took half an hour before the first item arrived (the ice cream !), it took 20 more minutes... More

What a great place to go for an after dinner drink, and their delicious looking deserts! You walk into the front, and it's this long wooden bar. The lights are low. Neon, you know. Cha Cha, who was the original owner, had who has just recently passed away and left the place to his sister-in-law, was in the Sopranos, and... More

Lately it seems to be the normal in New York City, as much as I love to come here the service is never up to par. I ordered the pizza the margarita and it was fabulous and so was the salad with the croutons being chewable they were something different but they were delicious. The reason why I rated average... This is a really cute cafe with a nice back area to sit! So don't be fooled by the small front entrance. We got an iced coffee and caramel frappucino. Both were very good. The staff was very friendly.

Their ice cream is all advertised as all gelato but I think some of the fruit flavours are Italian ice. Whatever it was, it was tasty and you got a good size portion for what you paid. They have cannoli gelato, which was delicious and a little different.

Our sole purpose was to sit down for gelato. While the gelato and cappuccino were good nothing was outstanding. The service was slow (and they weren't that busy) and the bathrooms were small and slightly disgusting.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
