We came here hoping it lived up to the hype but unfortunately we were met with staff who seemed to find customers an irritant and food that was average at best and not well presented. Pretty gutted as we had taken a 30 min taxi...More

We stopped here for lunch and got a couple excellent sandwiches and very good piece of pie. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was expecially kind and attentive.

We chose this restaurant for its proximity to Central Park. It is small, but we did not need to wait long for a table. (Later in the week we returned to eat again, but the wait was 45 minutes). They had excellent coffee, but didn’t...More

There are no fashionistas here. A real Upper West Side kind of place. Very casual, very friendly, very mixed clientele. The food is simple, homey, and good. Portions are big and prices are reasonable. We were here for lunch and had BLT's, which were great...except...More

We went there for brunch as the restaurant is located near central park. Excellent pancakes, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere.

Large menu with enough selections for everyone. Cinnamon fresh toast was delish and real maple syrup on the table. Pancakes were light and airy. Coffee was refilled without having to ask.

this menu is so full of wonderful eats, it was hard to choose. I would have liked to find it earlier in my visit to try more options

Food was delicious, especially the fresh blueberry pancakes. However for the full eggs, bacon, sausage dish plus pancakes (the Lumberjack, i think it is called). all the food got piled onto to each other which is MOST unappetizing. Small tables and very uncomfortable chairs (plus a...More

Description
Today, visitors from all over the world—English, German, French, Japanese—still come to Good Enough to Eat to enjoy classic American food. They sit side by side with Upper West Side “regulars,” enjoying wholesome, mouth-watering (and ample) plates such as Macaroni and Cheese, Lemon Parmesan Chicken, Pecan Trout, Caesar Salad, Sweet Potato Fries, the now legendary Meatloaf and Turkey Dinners, and Peach Pie with homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. The appetite for wholesome, authentic, traditional American food only seems to be growing – both here and in cultures across the globe. And we at The Restaurant Group still carry out Carrie Levin’s mission to satisfy that hunger at Good Enough to Eat.
