I ate the best steak I ever had! The red beet and the goat cheese was very delicious as well... I wish I would live in NYC!

A surprising French Bistro style restaurant in the back corner of Wall Street. Great steak and frites. Friendly service and serves all.

I have been here a number of times on my trips to New York. The staff are excellent and the burgers are the best I have ever tasted. They come medium rare and I love it. Great wines and beers. Would highly recommend

Was here 9 years ago twice, loved it. Had same meal, steak, salad, frites. About the same, tasty. Service disappointing, host acting as manager even worse! Didn't want to know why we contested tip, claimed he wasn't manager, just a host. Food not cleared properly before next course out, rushed and no inquiry as to if we wanted a second... More

I dropped in here on a Wednesday evening for dinner. I was dining alone and had no problem getting a table. I decided to stick with the classics - French Onion Soup and Steak Frites. Both were OK - I have had better many times in many places but two things did not sit well with me. First, the service... More

I had the Filet de Boeuf, Béarnaise with frites paired with a Bordeau and it was delicious. If you go in with the expectation that Anthony Bourdain is going to cook your food, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a classic New York dining experience and a steak so tender you can cut it with a fork... More

We tried it out at our first visit to New York, after knowing the restaurants from Anthony's Bourdain tv show. Everything was tasty, but way too expensive for what they're serving. Ok, it was gourmet style, but we aren't used eating main courses as small as the starters. Beside that, everything we tried was familiar to us from back home... More

I ate here with my daughter we had a good meal and were served by some excellent attentive waiters. However after dessert a waitress who had not been assigned to us came over to the table to advise us of the tipping policy. She seemed only interested in intimidating us to tip the maximum amount. She advised us that it... More

Les halles park avenue has been my families go to place since 1994. Service and food never failed to amaze me. I had mixed experiences downtown and last night was the worse and I won't be going back to this tourist trap. It was my nieces graduation dinner and we drove from Long Island for her favorite steak frites. It... More

We came upon this restaurant by mistake to be honest, not much choice in this area even using the trip adviser app, we had spent the day visiting Liberty island and then planned to do 1 world trade in the evening so needed something local in between, for some reason this didn't hit on the 'what is close' bit of... Description
Set on Park Avenue South, between 28th and 29th Streets, Brasserie Les Halles serves a collection of classic dishes from the finest brasseries in Paris. The speciality of the house is the French Cuts of Meats, simply char-grilled and served with award-winning French Fries. Les Halles' long list of various steaks comes from the in-house butcher. The French butchering technique looks for unique qualities in each cut, providing different tastes and textures in each type of steak. Les Halles buys Prime American beef, naturally tenderised by two weeks of wet aging. The beef is then dry aged in-house for 21 days at 36-degrees Fahrenheit to concentrate the flavours. The original plaster mouldings in the restaurant date from the early 1900's, when the building was erected to house a restaurant specialising in healthy foods. The most famous menu item at the time - a blend of fresh vegetable juice to order - was later licensed and bottled under the brand V8! The large menu is designed to accommodate all tastes, appetites and budgets, and free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout.
