Being from DC, brunch is our weekend staple. Shopsin’s was a brilliant find when in the city for a weekend. You can’t have more than 4 people seated at your table so be prepared. The brunch spot is quaint inside the market and if they...More

You can have a huge unhealthy, but AMAZING delicious breakfast in an environment that you will never forget for the rest of your life. This (cafe?) is quite famous for their collections of Tchotchkes. Check it out if you ever visit NYC. Go check out...More

We got to the ESSEX Market early and breakfast was delish. Fluffy omelette (ham and cheddar), great egg white sandwich (the Minda), no yelling and screaming!

Visited on the recommendation of a friend. Very glad we did. A very unique experience that has some parallels to the Soup Nazi of Seinfeld fame. Follow their rules and you'll be fine. Don't and it's at your peril. Also, don't be put off by...More

I read many reviews that raved about the food, but really it was no more than average and certainly over priced for what it was! The serving staff were a mix between snappy and friendly. The experience was quirky but not worth the cost :(

Shopsins is one of those strange but very pleasant discoveries. I really LOVED the food. The place is rough, and so is the service, but it's all part of the experience. They have about 1000 options for breakfast/brunch, and every one of them is supposed...More

Having now eaten here three times, I can safely say this place is unique and wonderful. The menu with literally hundreds of items defies description. The food may be best characterized as wildly inventive comfort food. It's fusion for fun, hipster before hipsters invaded the...More

Visited with my partner for breakfast / brunch that after a fairly long wait turned into lunch. It took is a while to find the place nestled in the corner of the market hall and when we did there was a queue of around six....More

The blocks of tenements that represented the promise
