My girlfriend and I had an appointment in lower Manhattan on Sunday and afterwards went for a leisurely stroll up 10th Avenue. We decided to head West down 23rd to see if there were some interesting art galleries that were open. We found one that was not engaging but a few doors down was this lovely restaurant. We were both... More

We stopped here when we were walking the High Line - as it looked pleasant from up above. We were not disappointed. Excellent craft beer to drink - and really nice food. We ate Portuguese chicken and lamb burger. We sat outside and it was a pleasant atmosphere to sot and eat. Pleasant , friendly service.

We popped in for a few beers after a walk down the Hi-Line with our wives. They enjoyed a few cocktails while we explored the draft craft beers.a really nice bar with a great vibe to it.

Stopped here walking down then again walking up the High Line. Plenty of beer and the spinach dip we had was top notch. Great service and a beer-a-topia.

Stopped by for brunch on a wet and rainy day. Pub was empty and service was fast and friendly. The food was just average. Eggs Benedict were okay, nothing memorable. Bloody Mary was included and was very good, spicy and enjoyable. Location is great and the prices were okay for the neighborhood.

It's getting harder to find a down-to-earth, reasonably priced eatery in Manhattan, much less one with a literary vibe and bookish events at night. Half King (co-owned by author Sebastian Junger) fits the bill. It's near the High Line too. A friend and I enjoyed salads and iced tea at lunch. I had gelato for dessert, more like regular vanilla... I don't know what has happened to this place, but it has certainly gone downhill. It looks worn out, and maybe it is after all these years. It smells unclean, like stale cooking oil, and there is filth on the ceiling fan blades. The varnish is worn off the doors. Really, how hard is it to keep things up in... More

We stopped by here for shelter when it started chucking it down with rain during our walk on the Highline. We received a warm welcome, and advice on what craft beers to drink. The bar has a good ambience with many people sat at the bar, and has a separate area at the back for eating. You can also eat... More

... Bit then we had awesome jalapenno poppers, and two different nice salads! Defenetly worth to stay here for lunch! You can sit outside under the highline, if you go inside, choose the room on the right. Yamiiii

I'd been here for dinner twice before and enjoyed decent food, warm atmosphere and good service. This visit was a disaster. One group making a lot of noise in an otherwise empty dining room. Waiters and busboys carrying on, throwing silverware around in the corner of the room, also making a lot of noise. A turkey burger that didn't come... More
