Although I booked at the wrong restaurant... yep, I did... and we were a little surprised by the décor, we were totally flabbergasted by the food. Had to be the absolute BEST steak we have ever had. Service was A+. Do yourself a favor... try this restaurant. I understand why you need a reservation well in advance!

The Palm is an excellent choice for a larger group because the menu offers meat, chicken, fish and seafood. Yes, it is first and foremost a steakhouse, but all palates can be accommodated. Sharing is the name of the game. Entrees are large. The Cesar salad is not to be missed. Also to not be missed are the "donut holes"... More

Had a lovely steak but I don't expect to pay extra for the chips. Was very much a locals restaurant but lacked the atmosphere for a tourist and overall ate at far better value for money places

I had a dinner with friends when visiting NY for a business trip. I was invited to this old and traditional steak restaurant. We had mixed salad and Beafsteak Tomato Capri salad (caprese) for first courses. The salads were good and really big... For main courses I had filet Mignon, one of the best that I ever had in US... Fresh from our flight and uneasy transfer from JFK our party were anxious to find a restaurant close to our hotel in United Nations Plaza. Bags unloaded and abandoned it was time for food and we followed our noses left and right till we found Palm Too. We peered through the small paned window, they looked busy, very busy but... More

All food cooked perfectly well, including the loıbster, and nothing to complain about except some really lacklustre and indifferent service that is distracting.

Steak and lobster were terrific, prepared as ordered. Palm fries always terrific as were the baked potatoes and the grilled asparagus. Service was excellent despite our "special needs ". Cheesecake was wonderful too. Nice to see calories identified for each offering. Reservation a good idea. Chris, assistantt general mgr, friendly and just as helpful as my friends in DC. We'll... Large portions and the food was great. the waitress was a little over powering and when we got the bill they had charged too much for the wine. It was lucky that i keep an eye on these things and wasn't too pissed to pick up on it. All i can say is check your bill

The Palm has been one of my favorite restaurants for a long time. I've been to several locations but The Palm in NYC is one of the oldest as evidenced by the caricatures adorning the wall (including mine!) A dear friend took me here to celebrate my 50th birthday and our date happened to coincide with the Super Bowl. Needless... More

Classic restaurant with always very friendly staff and great service. The lady in the coatroom stole my heart with her warm welcome and smile :-) Nice wines and menu for luncheon and dinner (for both business and family/friends). Had a great steak, wine and sweet dessert. They also offer fresh salads and other healthy dishes. The walls are very colorful... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
