One of the best buffalo chicken fingers around. I have ordered for delivery a couple times now and they are consistently quick and efficient. Food is hot and delicious. Try the chicken fingers in buffalo sauce and add tots with Swiss and mushrooms. Amazingly it doesn't make you feel bloated low sodium but full of flavor. The chicken is tender,... More

Yes it's another micro-brewery restaurant but this place is definitely above average (although I can't speak to the food). It's lively, the beer selection is very good and the atmosphere is very comfortable. It's mostly a 20 or 30 something type place but it's good for all.

Ordered a Pastrami sandwich which had more fat and gristle than meat. Beer, seating and service was good.

We are terribly sorry you had a bad experience here at the Alehouse. We have made a change for the better thanks to your feedback. We are switching from store bought deli pastrami to smoke our own fresh pastrami in house. Thanks again for making a difference! More

I'd researched craft beer bars before heading to NYC and this one fit the bill perfectly and was near my hotel. My wife and I headed over early one evening for a few beers at happy hour and ended up leaving when the bar closed at 4.30am! What an experience. The locals were so friendly and engaging, the staff top... More

My husband and I met some friends here early Saturday evening for a beer (their suggestion) and we're glad we got to check it out. It's a sports bar so lots of tvs and various college games were on and the place was full of people chatting and cheering on their team. Nice laid back and friendly vibe, obviously the... More

Went there most lunchtimes, for great selection of beers and great pub grub. Kept us going for sightseeing afternoons. Great for weekday lunch, quiet but $4 drafts. Sunday is NFL day so if there If less than 4 then you cannot sit. Europeans go and enjoy the beer there is a great selection x 🍻🍺🍻x

Enjoyed some time here New Year's Eve after supporting my guy's improv show. The atmosphere was fun with pool table on lower level and cat wandering around the bar area upstairs! Memorable time always...JM.

I love it here, it's cozy, comfortable, good food and drink, and you certainly don't feel rushed. unlike many bars, you can actually hold a conversation without it being too loud, the booths feel very private and uncrowded. I got the taco salad and definitely recommend.

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
