It's delicious. Pure and simple. No frills. If you don't like Kebab, there's no point going. Also in a great neighborhood.

Down the street form Katz's deli, Berekets is a quality kabob house. I have never been disappointed and the food is fresh and well made. I eat there often.

Fast food can be good food. This is the sort of döner kebab shop that you find all over Germany. The Bereket compares well with kebab places in Berlin. The falafel was crispy and the salad fresh—and the whole nosh came to under $10.

Best lentil soup, and a very tasty chicken shish plate. I've been told better shwarma can be found elsewhere.

Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving
immigrant past and its modern transformation into a
beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side
is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city.
The blocks of tenements that represented the promise
and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience
now command top dollar for new residents. Right next
to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment
