How I Met Your Mother is my favorite show and they mention the corner bistro in their best burger in New York episode. I’ve always wanted to try it. We finally got around to it on this trip. The setup is odd. We went inside...for a few minutes and no one acknowledged us…we then wandered around outside until we saw a waiter and asked if we just sit and he said “yep” and ran off. The burgers were pretty good. Not too badly priced. It is cash only though! Luckily we had cash this time but I don’t normally carry it so that’s something I think is good to know ahead of time. The waiter wasn’t super attentive but it wasn’t too bad. Overall the burger was pretty good but I don’t know if I’d go out of my way forMore

Was it always this expensive? I loved this ten years ago, but I don’t remember spending $50 for two bloody burgers and two beers. I feel owed $20.

Ordered the bistro burger and a chili burger. The bistro burger I asked for rare and the chili burger medium rare. Both were extremely extremely rare which is perfect for my taste. Great burgers. Chili was solid. Got a pint of McSorleys dark while I...waited. Cute place.More

Very good food , quiet at lunchtime. I did not realize they charge extra for les pommes frites! We had plenty of time to sit and chat during and after the meal.

Visited on an afternoon for a few beers and a burger. Sat at the bar and received friendly service from the barman. The burger was huge, well cooked and served very simply. The McSorleys Ale was very good, and reasonably priced.

Was pleasantly surprised by this little secret. Food and service incredible. From the kiddies menu to the totally delicious seafood pastas, all round a definite "we will be back!!"

One of the best burgers i have ever eaten and very reasonable priced too! Service was very lacklustre, wasnt particularly busy but still took a while to get our waiters attention, guy behind the bar was even worse Overall still a nice evening!

The Corner Bistro is an unfussy, unpretentious bar/ restaurant in the West Village; a West Village icon. It serves wonderful food at very reasonable prices and is a must visit place. Highly recommended.

Come for the burgers, not the ambiance. Small hole-in-the-wall bar, very limited food menu, but good burgers at good prices. Beer wasn't bad either. Cash only!!!

This place was recommended by a friend so I had high hopes. But it fell flat for me. It wasn’t bad, but the burger wasn’t anything special. I didn’t hate it, but it was just your average burger. Plus, there was a long wait for...a table. I’d probably skip it next time.More
