I used to visit this restaurant on a regular basis, but for some unforeseen reason stop coming about 20 years ago. I found myself at it once again tonight. As soon as I opened the door, it looked exactly as it had 20 years earlier. How wonderful! Now onto the food. We ordered the chili with the works, a chili... More

The colorful exterior caught my eyes as I was walking up The Bowery. Inside is dark, small but very welcoming. I had a cheeseburger and bloody mary...both excellent. The assortment of music in the jukebox is supurb.

I love this place. Stumbled across it years ago and keep coming back. It has the best bloody marys, sweet potato fries, and just about everything on the menu. It is casual and cozy and such a warm atmosphere. The service has always been top notch. And the best part - the jukebox is amaze!

Stopped in late night and had a great burger and the jambalaya was just as good! Attentive and friendly staff, good pour on the drinks. Service was fast, music playing on the juke box set a good vibe. It's on my list for my go-to for late night food and drinks and a good way to wind down and end... More

Have been going to Great Jones Cafe for years. Must have my wonderful Great Jones Sazerac and fried oysters every so often. That's classic New Orleans fare but Great Jones is a lot closer than New Orleans and just as good (if not better). A tiny place that is a true New Yorker's secret. Some call it a "dive," some... The place is quite small and dressed in colored lights and has a pleasant and relaxed feel to it. Staff is friendly and efficient. The jambalaya is excellent. Great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat!

I can't describe how much i loved this place! As a lone traveller i me here 3 times in one week for the food but also for the friendly staff, great bar-side banter and POTENT margaritas. Food is affordable and has the slight home cooked cozy feel about it. The chicken wings will ruin all your other chicken wings experiences... More

We stumbled upon this gem by accident and what a wonderful accident it was! We were walking by looking for pizza but when we smelled the burgers coming out of the exhaust outside of the restaurant we HAD to go inside. It's a small, cool spot that has an authentic NOLA vibe to it. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and... More

This is a small informal price. The brunch menu has about 7 items, all intriguing rich southern food. The smothered eggs were scrambled eggs and ham over a biscuit with gravy and cheddar grits. Though it sound sinfully delicious, it was just ok in terms of flavor. The pulled pork was a standout with gray flavor. The Cajun bloody Mary's... More

With a bust of Elvis in the window, a bright orange paint job and Don DeLillo's similarly titled novel framed on the wall, it just oozes cool.
