Chose Joe Allen as our hotel was close by and the reviews were good. Busy inside but found us a table and the food was good. Service was good too until the very end when (after a busy day sight seeing) we miscalculated the service...More

We stopped this great place after our Broadway show. Place was packed, but were seated right away. This is old school New York dining, a lot of theater show art on the walls, service was impeccable. Food was outstanding. Definitely worth a try. Great drinks,...More

Joe Allen has been around for years. A great place for a meal or post-theater coffee, drink and dessert. Great ambiance with Broadway theater posters adorning the walls. You may see some Broadway talent at the bar or a table near you. Enjoy!

Joe Allen's is a staple in my New York experience. Sitting at the bar or at a table one may catch a glimpse of Broadway performers after shows enjoying their late night supper. Food is standard fare and there is something for everyone. Don't miss...More

Ate here before our Broadway show and loved the vibe and the good. Small chic place with excellent hamburgers!

Since I grew up in Manhattan, I have eaten at Joe Allen's over the course of several decades. My most recent meal there was the best ever. Rather than have the usual delicious burger or the meatloaf, I had the scallops which were superb. A...More

My son had a fantastic pork chop, and I tried their new shrimp, grits, and sausage dish with lobster consommé. What a great mixture of tastes! My wife had the best crab cake she's had in years. Very friendly service.

Had a pre-theater dinner here. We told them we had a curtain to make and service was excellent. Not rushed but we got out in plenty of time. Wide range of choices on menu. Great burgers.

I find it usually depends on the day of the week and the time you want to go . Pre and post theatre hours are the busiest for them and the most difficult to get reservations. A week out you should have no issues
