Went on recommendation from a friend. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. Would recommend the freshly made guacamole and the roasted poblano chile. And good value. Best meal we had on our trip.

I have been here a handful of times now, it is truly one the best in the city. A little on the bigger side, so if you are looking for a more smaller more intimate spot, this may not be for you. Nevertheless, it is still very authentic, terrific food, great service. And really delicious guacamole and margaritas.

We had a great meal here. The guacamole is YUMMY!!! I like the interior and the staff is very service-minded. My food was ok, not to exciting. But when I added the guacamole, it tasted great. It was a Saturday night, so it was very busy. The sound-level was very high. And the waiter was a bit to eager to... More

Great Mexican food for a chain. I am Not a chain fan. Super guacamole prepared table side. Good salsa. Good drinks. Plenty of chips. Excellent service. Second floor windows are great for sightseeing and watching the Lincoln Center crowds. Very good enchiladas and good seafood. Worth a visit. Besides the staircase to the second floor there is a hidden elevator--ask.

We had lunch at this restaurant after attending a full dress rehearsal at the Met. We wanted to go to another establishment but time was a a factor, as we had appointments at five, so we opted to walk across the street to eat here. We had both been here before and were never disappointed. Again, we were quite satisfied... More

Room is tall and airy, warm colored lighting. Environs nearly as plush and luxurious as the Met across the street. The waiter encourages ordering the tableside guacamole, medium or hot to taste. There is one waiter whose job it is to make guacamole. pomegranate margaritas are festive but small and probably not worth the upgrade from a house margarita that... More

Food was great, staff was great, sangria was delisious, price was expensive, but that is NYC, walking distance to Lincoln Center, I would highly recommend this venue.

I've eaten at this restaurant a few times, most recently yesterday after seeing La Boheme at The Met. As always, the staff, service, and food is superb! Table-side guacamole is delicious! I recommend the Beef Brisket tacos, which are bursting with flavor. The regular margarita and the mezcal-isco are very tasty. Ambiance is cozy and modern with table views over... More

Guacamole was good....but that's it. Tacos were cold, stuffed with leathery, bland scambled eggs. Accompaning salad limp and the dressing was too sweet. Habanero sauce watery with no flavour impact. Beef quesadilla, flavourless and greasy. Service OK but background music both loud and inappropriate for a brunch session making conversation difficult. This used to be a competently run restaurant. Don't... More

Description
Our highly anticipated second Rosa Mexicano location opened in July 2000. Just steps away from Lincoln Center, this impressive David Rockwell-designed space features a 30-foot iridescent blue tile water wall that spans both levels of the restaurant and is adorned with 240 miniature cliff divers. Here you’ll also find a dramatic “floating” staircase made of orange and red terrazzo slabs and backlit panels behind the bar embedded with rose petals. Awarded “Best Restaurant 2000” by Interiors Magazine, this unique, contemporary look ushered in a new era for us at Rosa Mexicano.
