I have eaten at Delmonico's four times in the last 2 years and it is consistently very good to excellent. I've eaten at both a table and at the dark & clubby bar/lounge. I think I like the laid back lounge atmosphere over the grand...More

Reviews are strange things - your personal expectations are very individual and therefore other people's comments must be taken in context and with some scepticism. I last visited this iconic establishment over 15 years ago - it was superb then and on this occasion, I...More

Couldn't fault this place at all! 4 of us as filet mignon and ny strips, all of which were excellent. Great wine and wonderful service. I'm a complete steak snob and this is high on my list of places to go back to.

As commented by others, I found the Delmonico steak too salty. It was a large portion and excellent quality but overpowered with the saltiness. Seafood Newburgh appetizer was very old school, deep fried and lacking in presentation. Wine list was excellent.

I was excited to visit this classic NY establishment with so much history!! The restaurant was very accommodating in changing our reservation multiple times, we were waiting for someone to join us that had a delayed flight. The only regret is, I wish they would...More

America's first fine dining restaurant, Delmonico's has been serving fine American food to New York's connoisseurs in its premier location at the heart of Manhattan's financial district. Since opening at 56 Beaver Street in 1837, Delmonico's has been renowned as the birthplace of the Delmonico Steak, Delmonico Potatoes, Eggs Benedict, Lobster Newburg, and Baked Alaska. Upon opening, the original Delmonico's offered then-unheard of luxuries such as private dining rooms, an extensive wine cellar, innovative cuisine, and, above all, warm, personal service. Today, the restaurant continues to honour its heritage with the same warm hospitality and fine cuisine. Delmonico's menu features a range of traditional dishes in addition to the prime Delmonico Steak, aged to perfection in the aging room. Having introduced many dishes and dining customs to America, to dine at Delmonico's is to experience history.
