Everything about this restaurant is very good and even excellent in some respects but the entrée disappointed. Dover sole at $71 was dry and palatable only with a heavy dose of sauce. Wine selection and service were very good.. Ambience a bit quirky but I guess that is part of the restaurant's unique signature. I take it this is a... More

To critique ‘21’ as merely a restaurant is to ask it to get down on all-fours with the likes of pricey chain and re-purposed bank lobby eateries. Rather, it is distinguished by its clientele and its treatment of them. While Billingsley’s Stork [Club] is a now a park and Elmo [El Morocco] is now a memory, ‘21’ enjoys a flourishing... More

Excellent evening in the Upstairs dining room that is open on Friday and Saturday nights, We were pleased to have our wonderful Irish waiter, who we met dining here last year. If you want an intimate, romantic evening then this is the place to visit, A Prix Fixe is $95. for four courses. We started with a generous tuna tartare... More

This was one of the dining highlights of our weekend in New York city. The service was outstanding from beginning to end. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I couldn't finish the amount of Foie Gras Terrine I was served (sadly) so this may be an appetizer for two. My rack of lamb was cooked to my... More

Definitely a place to visit. No jeans allowed. Make sure to wear a blazer (that's their dress code). We had a wonderful lunch here. The beef tartar was amazing. The tuna was delicious as well. The presentation and attentiveness of the staff were first class. Very expensive.

Club 21 is one of those classic places many people have heard about but few have visited. Give it a try if you can. My recent visit was with a largish business group that the restaurant handled with flawless service. The food was well-prepared and served with good timing (not so quickly as to feel rushed, but promptly enough so... More

Food was great - you can get a high end steak or simply an outstanding burger, depending on your mood. Decor is different, vibe is great. There is definitely a buzz when you eat here so put it on your list. (jackets required, fyi, but it isn't stuffy in the traditional sense). Seriously, you want to hit another stereotypical steak... We had an early evening meal after seeing an opera at the Met. The staff are very professional and friendly. The venue and decor are great classic American. The food is outstanding we both had steak which was one of the best I've ever had and the truffled mac and cheese is naughty but VERY VERY nice!!!

I really don't have too much to say. I loved this restaurant. The service, ambiance, and (most importantly) food were all superlative. We enjoyed drinks at the bar as well as our meals. I will be making this a regular stop on my NYC visits.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
